Sadly, I have to bring you the news that the game project known as King's Quest 2.5 has been abandoned.
This was not an easy discussion, but there are two important reasons. First, several important people who were with KQ2.5 from nearly the beginning, are no longer around to help us. And second, we have considered the possibility of getting a Cease and Desist notice from Vivendi, and decided we did not want to risk that.
But we must say that we've learned a lot from working on it, and we wish to thank you all for your support. But now it is time to turn off the lights and say goodbye to the land of Avali, vizier Aaiden and King Castor.
Yours,
Pieter Simoons, aka Radiant
:(
wow - that's a BIG bummer ... I was looking forward to this... :'(
Damn it! It looked so stable from our outsider point of view. And I was really looking forward to it, too.
Oh, so this game is "abandoned (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?topic=18445.0)", is it? That's a shame!Ã, ;D
Well, it looks like having it be a King's Quest game is finished......
But being an original game..... that's cool!
This IS a great game with good art, and VERY nice scripting. I dig.
Bt
Snarky -> it's not what you think. There isn't any actual relationship between these projects, save for the coincidence that I am involved in both of them. Actually I am one of the few people to be involved in both, despite both teams being 8+ people.

What made me think it was that the page for this new game had all these quotes that referred to KQ 2.5.
If you need some replacement statements for ATOTK, I can repeat mine:
"Nice!"
Ah, ok. I thought it WAS ATOTK that was being refered to.
Still a loss, but not that huge a loss, thank God.
I wondered where this project had run away to. That's really sad to hear Radiant, I was looking forward to it. But if it had to go then sobeit. Good luck with your future projects.
