Extra! Extra! Read all about it! (http://www.gamesradar.com/leisure-suit-larry-receive-hd-treatment/)
Not really much more to say about it. It's not top of my list of things that need a re-release, but there you go.
The article also says:
QuoteIn addition to the remake, the studio is also working directly with series creator Al Lowe, who has given his blessing to the project. Replay Games and Lowe have plans for brand new Larry adventures scheduled for early 2012 to celebrate the series’ 25th anniversary.
An unusual choice, seeing how critically panned recent entries in the series have been, but I thought some people might be interested...!

Not too excited myself. Too cartoony and probably will be cencored to ensure wider distribution, so to me this just smells like a cash-in.
Here's to hoping I'm wrong, though!
I still prefer the AGI looks I'm afraid. To be honest, the last Larry I can connect with is the third. The other games are fun but I simply do not like the cartoony style introduced in the 5th installment.
Still a good thing that Al Lowe is back in business and to be honest, this remake is way better news than Magna cum-laude ;)
I also prefer not cartoonized versions more. But I'm happy because there is a interest of creating and recreating the classic adventure games.
This screenshot is enough to tell me they'll be putting more effort into the animation than the MI remake

Hey, look at that, AGS allows bitmaps to be posted now!
EDIT: Oh, okay. No it doesn't. Post previews lie.
So I'm pretty interested!
Do you guys really prefer your Larry games all non-cartoony? Using photo-realistic girls and such always seemed kind of in conflict with the games carefree, non-porny agenda to me... as well as being jarring next to the hyper-absurd puzzles.

All I can really remember of the first game:
Drowning in the toilet and hinted boobies!

Actually the girls' close-ups were usually the least cartoony bits in the games:

It's Larry who in the later adventures suddenly became this deformed cartoony midget.

Amen to that!
It's not the technique, but the style choice.
A Larry in the style of Will Ferrell in Anchroman... now that would be awesome!

+1
You Sierra fans are weird.
I love the cartoony graphics, although something like Ralph Bakshi's style would've been more appropriate. I will agree that the third Larry game is the best, and I hope they get that far, because I'd love to see how it would look in VGA.
LSL4 is best.
On the one hand I'm pumped this is happening... on the other hand I detest the new graphical style choice.
I agree with abstauber. When I saw Anchorman the first time I thought, it's a movie version of LSL!!
Larry looks a bit like Astro Boy in the new version. So the VGA remake wasn't enough? If they're going to remake something then they should go back to a title that was EGA or something that won't run on modern systems.
Hmmm, I actually liked the cartoony style. I think that LSL6 is one of my favorite games ever...
Though I do agree that an "Anchorman" style Larry would be hillarious. ;D
I also agree with mkennedy, LSL1 was already remade, they should remake 2 & 3 (and maybe 4 as well :D).
