Well, i'm back and i had a great time.

Gilbertfest was great fun!

'Grumpy' gamer indeed! Ron is an extremely friendly, chatty guy and talking to him was great! His girlfriend was there too, and she's absolutely lovely and really friendly as well.

I still haven't slept after 49 hours of being not sleeping, which is why I'm using words like 'great' and 'friendly' over and over, because my brain isn't working. I'm writing this from the Airport Internet Terminals in Dublin. I won't be home for hours yet, either.

We met loads of great people as well, although Tom Cruise and Bambi stick in my mind (of the people I hadn't met before). Tom Cruise looks SO MUCH LIKE TOM CRUISE that my unsleptend head simply boggles at the thought even now. Jesus Christ, wtf. His girlfriend, Bambi, kicks ass so much. She's so damn cool. Luckily, Mark took everybody's details so I'll probably end up sending her an e-mail. She rocks. Jesus. PS Bambi was her real name and she kicks ass, and is really nice.

Chris Jones rocks by the way.

I hope Berian and Dave are currently sleeping soundly in the airport where I left them, and will eventually catch their bus and get home safely. I hope everybody got home safely, especially Mark, who seemed endearingly hopeless. Also, was it just me or did some people simply... VANISH at some point? I hope they appeared home safely also, they were good people.

I'm so tired! Ha ha ha, wtf?!

Also I met ShatteredSponge AKA Nick, who everybody agreed was NOTHING like he told us he would be. He is a goodlooking, friendly young chap (he has the exact same sense of humour as he has online). We were all astounded. The information Sponge gave me to identify him when we met up was "I am fat and ugly". NICE JOB THERE.

Meeting up with people was hilarious.

I am never going to be able to talk to you guys again on IRC in quite the same way.

Man I had so much damn friggin' fun.

And I wasn't as 'insane and hyperactive' as people thought I would be, FACT. The reason I don't eat skittles? They've got Beetle Juice in them. FACT. Not because I'm hyperactive.

T'was good to meet you guys again; and to meet some of you for the first time.

Everyone was really nice ... and in one particular case, almost too nice. That's one intimate moment I won't forget any time soon, Iqu!

Yufster was surprisingly restrained in her hyperactivity (must've been the morphine we slipped in her drink); and Ron and his girlfriend were cool. It's great to hear some words of wisdom from the man himself.

Oh, and to Tom Cruise, if you're reading this, I do apologise for going on about the likeness, I know you've heard it a gazillion times before.

Just got home!

I was restrained in my hyperactivity? Okay! Actually, I did lots of subtle idiotic things that nobody seemed to notice:


Every time I walked into a stool I'd apologise loudly to it.

And I kept calling referring to Chris Jones as Chris Reee...ones.

Yufster, things didn't quite go to plan, when you sent me that text I was on an 11 mile walk home from Oxford, 2am - 6am, that part wasn't fun at all... LOL... Well, it wasn't fun last night - but now it just adds to the very memorable day

It was great to see familiar faces, and meet new ones! I'm glad that picture you took of me and Ron came out Chris, my version looks rubbish!

Best parts of Gilbertfest:

When Iqu kissed Ron Gilbert's neck, grabbed his ass and hugged him. Legendary stuff.

Ron Gilbert telling us that Chris Remo and Jake Rodkin running into the Apple store five minutes before they interviewed Ron, to print questions.

The Pidgeon Park! I don't know where it was, but we went to a park full of Pidgeon that looked like things. One looked like Vin Diesel. One looked like Martha Stewert. One didn't look much like Ron Jeremy, but he kept giving himself a blowjob. One of them looked like a chicken.

Mark phoning directory inquiries to find a pub that was open; "She hung up on me! Probably thought I was a piss-head."
