When you get your first great idea for a game (and you will) don't immediately post the idea in the Games in Production thread.

I made this mistake ...

Wait until you have a lot of it done so that you can release periodic progress updates while still working on it.  Trust me on this ... I came runnin' in here posting all about my next GREAT game and it's still not done and that was about 5 or 6 months ago!!

I seccond DM sdvise, be careful with "great ideas"... I´ve had to abandon some nice project myself, but I did it... before starting working!

Make conceptual art, write, think in what you want, if the GA is going to be playable and interessant... That´s all!

And don´t worry about demanding help, we´re here to help!
