I'm not sure if I should have posted this on the CL or not, but I don't really want this critiqued, I'm just wondering if anyone would go for this type of game. So here goes:

It will probably be in black and white, the backgrounds will be taken from photos and manipulated, there will be no dialogue basically, except for a narrator. The 'look' of the game will be strange and old-looking.

That in itself sounds fine, but you haven't really said what the game is.  As long as the graphic style suits the game's subject matter, then you can choose whatever style you want ^_^

That's not much to go by other than a "style". Sure, I'd play it. Unless it was a game about a yellow man named Igloph who was in search of his digital alarm clock & it was being made by yodaman ;) Eeesh, that would suck!

This forum is okay but being a bit more specific about your intentions would be nice.

Where would you source your photos?

Either way, you can be assured I would play at least a quarter of the game and give it a rating.

I'm not completely sure what the storyline is going to be yet, I just have the concept in my mind. I'm probably going to write a script first to get the story out and stuff. I don't know what you mean by 'source' my photos, but I'd be using a digital camera and just shooting at locations near my house, and manipulatin them somehow to look good for a game. The game will also be told from a third person perspective, eg:
NARRATOR: 'Whatever his name is said 'Hi'.

and other stuff like that. I should probably post some storyline when I get it done, which I'll probably do today.

Sure, sourcing means how you would get them. This isn't a particularly new concept, using photos as backgrounds, so I'm sure people would give it a go.
