Title: LucasArts Backgrounds
Post by: Blackthorne on Mon 07/06/2004 05:21:38
Hey, quick question maybe someone can help.

Is there a program that can rip backgrounds from LucasArts games?
I know of costume ripper for the sprites, but I'd like to get backgrounds to study, use, etc.

I find the best way of improving your style is to study the bkg's in great detail.  If not, I guess it's a lot of PrtScrn editing for me, eh?!?

Wow, you answered your own question. :P

But seriously, I don't think there is any way that you can do it. You may be able to do it with SCUMM or whatever the program is that they make the SCUMM game things with, but I don't know for sure.

try http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?threadid=98093

and here: http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?s=hreadid=128235

It talks about all the tools and latest source code you could use to get the backgrounds.

I would use scummrev 2 and 3 and scumm2d.

You can rip backrounds with SCUMMRev. But SCUMM2D doesn't work.
