I decided to finally use my camcorder from Christmas!
It's a quick video about how I made my first hourgame. It was a lot more fun than I thought it might be.
Video is here if you want to see it: http://domithan.com/?page_id=84
Heh good job. Hour games are a lot of fun, and sometimes allow you to learn new things or practice the little things, such as scripting dialogue etc.
I haven't played the games yet, but I might get round to it later on.
More AGS related videos? I might get round to film something involving AGS but I am pretty lazy ;)
Heh, I've been thinking about doing a vlog about hourgaming. Looks like you beat me to it :P
Nice video!

Thanks.
More AGS videos for sure. I'm thinking about doing video reviews, etc.
Also, thanks bulbapuck :D
This is nice, although it kind of missed the point of hourgame documentary, as in it dealt with the actual making of the game for about 10% of the whole movie. Not that the rest wasn't interesting or nice, just was kind of surprised. Looking forward to more.
The voice wasn't bad btw. :)

Yeah, I know it wasn't much of a documentary :P (Hence the 'not quite').
Next time I make something AGS related I'll be sure to include a lot more AGS.
Also, if you mean my voice, thanks! :P
Perhaps next time you could set the camera up facing you for the process itself, dictating to the camera what you are doing. Then you could go back afterwards and re-enact the process, which will give you a lot more flexibility. i.e. no time restraint, multiple takes, no need to ad-lib, etc.
This was still worth watching as it is though :)
I found it very enjoyable!
I think you're the first documenting an hourgame. It's true that most of the topics are tangent to hourgame making, but still seeing related related stuff made me smile and was quite informative.
I'd like to see more of these videos, Domithian (and Bulbapuck too!)
Wow I'm lame. Watching the video, looking at when you show the IRC, seeing my name, I actually said, aloud, "Hey! That's Me!"
Cool video otherwise. I may have to try one myself. Actually that may be an idea in itself, like if everyone participating could livestream their screens with camtasia or something. Would add a whole nuther absurd level to the enterprise.

! was screaming like "Hey, we spoke a lot on IRC, why Magam42 and not me!!"
Haha, sorry dual. I'll try to get you in the next one :)
