I wrote a quick game as part of the Global Game Jam this weekend.  I did it to learn the AGS engine (which I'm really liking BTW).  It took me about 20 hours to do, so yes it's looks like piece of crap (no time to polish the graphics), but it accomplished my purposes of getting familiar with the engine.  Here it is (if anyone is interested).

Did anyone else use the AGS engine as part of the Global Game Jam, by any chance?

Holy crap we made a 48 hour game this weekend and I didn't even realize this was going. Awesome  :D

Unfortunately no. I went to the Tigsource UKJam in Cambridge last week though. That was pretty awesome.
Tried to make a game using AGS in an hour, but realised I didn't really know it well enough. :(

Still it has kicked my ass into finishing a game now though... met lots of cool inspiring people... so all's good!

BTW, I met a Ben Jordon at the Global Game Jam.  Funny thing is he didn't know he was a paranormal investigator.   ;D

Unfortunately, I couldn't. Turkey part held place where I have been interning (and working on an AGS game, woot!), but I didn't sign in thinking I would be busy or exhausted that time. I will definitely be participating next year.

BTW Ben,  I was just curious if you did your 48 hour game as part of another competition or on your own?  And if you made that game available on the net anywhere?  I'm curious as to how much a pro (like yourself) can whip out in 48 hours, as opposed to my extreme barebones game (since I was learning the engine during this).
