A walkcycle, my KINGDOM for a walkcycle!

Hello, and yes your right, that IS way over the top. But it is true, if I HAD a kingdom, I would trade it for a walkcycle.
But not just any walkcycle, no I am talking about a
Satyr walkcycle. some goat-legged biped walk. with hooves. I won't STEAL it, I just want to see how such a walk would work. anyone willing to help?

By very careful if you do an image search.
A mispelt version of horse walking could be fatal.

I read satyr as centaur for some reason. My mind has been flavoured by this, which you'll remember from the C&C Lounge.

Have you seen that new Narnia film thats out? It has a satyr.

No, but I read ALL the books, and saw ALL the BBC films.
If you consider budget and era made. the BBC ones are preatty darn good.

Your request was interesting. I made a quick animation, only 4 frames. I couldn't find a goat walkcycle, only satyre still images. So I just tried to think how I would walk if I had goat legs...
I think I'm going to finish this animation.

Stagger the limbs farther away from the player, otherwise it looks like the legs have only two frames.

Torgo from Manos - Hands of Fate is supposed to be a satyr. You should all see this movie and take special notice of Torgo's gait.

I would like to thank you all for your helpfull hints and tips, as well as the animations. from the warcraft satyr,( good for those uber heavy charactors) from Def to the kings quest satyr from GarageGothic. Though it was only 4 frames, I thank Dorcan for his original work. it nice to know people kind of care. Thanx!
