Last year I had to pay the place in two payments, I paid with a check for both, and had everyone send money via Paypal.  I covered the cost of the security deposit, not including it in the price, so as not to have to worry about giving everyone an individual refund when it was returned.

Also, maybe I missed it, but what is your paypal address, Snarky?  And how much is owed?

Hmm, it sounds like things are a little bit different exactly the same this year, what with the payment in two stages + a security deposit when we arrive (bringing the 1500 EUR in a suitcase full of money, I guess).

Edit: Hmmm... Would it be easier for people to just make one payment, and I'd then cover both the rental charges? Up to you guys, really.

I guess we'll work out how to pay the rest of the rental and the security deposit later. For now, you should be able to send me money through this page. Hopefully there's an option there where you pay the PayPal charges, please choose that. (Stupidly, I can't actually test it since it's my account.)

If you can't pay right now, that's OK. Just send your part of the money when you have it.

Yes (201.33 EUR to be exact). The security deposit is on top of that. I'm not sure whether I can cover that myself; added to the second rental charge it goes way above my credit limit, so if they're due at the same time I'd have to charge it by some other means. Or maybe someone else could step in for that.

I could change the PayPal button to offer several different payment options (only the pre-payment, the whole thing, the rest of the payment), but honestly it sounds like it would be a mess to keep track of. Would anyone object to giving me the full 202 EUR ahead of time? I wouldn't need it from everyone right away, as long as a few people can pay now-ish (within the next few weeks) and everyone is paid up by the time we go.

I think it best if everyone attending (fully) for the full week be responsible for bringing their own 65 euro in cash to cover the security deposit.

It's obviously not hugely important to them how much they get because they're asking for it in bills on the door to hand back to us when we leave. The question is if we'll ever see them and our deposit again...

Andail - we could take 28 if we wanted. They just add sofa-beds. They've added 3 already to cater for our 24. Price would be higher though of course, but now it's booked & deposit paid - I don't know if it can be altered. So we can't cater for your partner really, sorry. We kinda decided no girlfriends unless they're AGS earlier in the thread. There just isn't space... Really it depends on the few who haven't chimed in and whether the possibles want to take any of the free places or not. We should know for sure by the end of the week who's going to fully comit and who isn't, so we can re-asses the space issue for your missus soon. I did ask about camping but they said no camping in ze villa zeig heil!

There's going to be alot of traveling for me this summer and I havn't planned everything. I'm still pretty certain I'll be able to make it in the end and should be able to pay by the end of this week so put me on the list of definites.
