Hello,
I hope I'm writing in the correct board.
I'm looking for a toturial for drawing backgrounds/sprites in the style of Police Quest III... Do you know one? Or, is there at least someone who knows how to do it?
Best regards,
NsMn
Hi NsMn,
I would suggest you get the SCI Resource Viewer (http://www.sierrahelp.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=2=456&p=4994#p4994). Click on the link with the zip file.
Open up the PQ3 game folder with this program, it will let you view the backgrounds, sprites, etc...study that, see what it looks like.
After that, well, let me know if you need help trying to copy the style...do you havea paint program?
Not sure what you're expecting here, there's no shortcut to producing backgrounds like that. The style isn't exactly exclusive to that game either.
And the critics lounge is for posting artwork only.
There's a sticky called "Technical art questions and discussions", at the top of the list...
Oh, and there's the tutorial stickie (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?topic=32133.0).
The Critics Lounge is only for posting examples of your work for critique and help.
Moving this to Adventure.
Sorry, ProgZmax. I just thought it belongs here since the Tutorial Redux is in the Critics Lounge.
