Do you think they will ever be invented? I mean you can pretty much play any other game type in a multiplayer mode, why can't we play adventure games? When I think of multiplayer adventure games, these things come to mind:
-Solving puzzles with friends.
-Trading inventory.
-Chatting.
...and many other wonderful things. It shouldn't be too hard, right? Considering you can pretty much go into a new world with today's online role playing games (like World of Warcraft), a 2d multiplayer game would seem like child play.
Think of the possibilities this would open for us adventure game lovers! We could (if ags would support them that is), create things like The Sierra Network, and have fun running around and solving puzzles.
And it wouldn't be long before someone makes an rpg game with ags, which would be really fun to play.
Bah, I don't know why I am writing this anyway. I'm probably the only one who thinks about it this way.
There have been several discussions on this very topic on these forums, they make a good read, give them a search.

I think from perhaps the 'outside' it may seem easy, but once you were to actually try make one, you'd come across several problems.

Heard about TCP/IP plugin (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?topic=4343.0) Tanker?
And yet, how often has that been used in the 2 years since it was developed?
I think the problem (which is discussed in those threads Puddin' mentioned) is that there's a world of difference between having the plugin to allow it, and actually developing a working, playable multiplayer AG.
You have to do almost as much making a multiplayer 2d game as you do a 3d one, you still have to keep track of almost as much - things like where the characters are, what they are called, what they are holding, whats in the game world, where it is etc. etc. etc.

Oh sorry, I didn't see that. When I try to load the game into ags, it says that the game has some options with automatically losing inventory or something, and that they have been removed in the new version. Did I have to do something, or is this just a compatibility bug with the n
ew version? I would really like to use this plug-in, its like what i said in the first topic in one file!

You can use the plugin. That thing has no effect to it.
Ah yes sorry, I was going to edit the post and remove it but you posted too fast ;D. I loaded the demo game into ags and applied the plug-in. The readme had commands I didn't quite understand in it, so if someone can tell me how to connect to another person, I would be really thankful.
It is too complicated to explain, really, you really need to properly understand networking to be able to use that plugin for anything useful.
Also, I do not think anyone should try helping you with starting yet more new game ideas, you have a big problem with this. Finish something else.
I never said I was making a game, I just wanted to test it out and see how it works.
