First time I used AGS I had a very ambitious idea (too much for me unfortunately) to create my adventure and since I think Broken Sword is the perfect 2D Adventure one can ask for, I tought that maybe there was the chance but then I've seen how much work and people you need to do a similar thing. The fact is that I even created a free web page for that!

Broken Sword

I started doing the animations with flash which is in fact the easy way to get some fast sprites.

Is anyone of you doing a Broken Sword fan game around?

Grim

Your website is very nicely done! Unfortunately it's not in English and I can't understand much... but I noticed there's a picture of a rhino in the backgrounds section. Placeholder? (or is the game actually going to take place "on" a rhino?;)) haha Don't answer that. Yes, it is a massive job to take on a big game like this. We've said it many times before, if it's your first game maybe start with something smaller? Either way, your sprites look great and there is definitely lots of potential there! Good luck!

Oh, I'm glad to hear this, I've been following the project since 2007. I think it's a great idea to combine the universe of Broken Sword with aliens.

There was Broken Sword 2.5 a while back, the presentation was gorgeous but it was totally ruined by lack of basic research ( they had a subway in York I seem to remember). Good luck with this, but be sure to fact check if you use real locations.

Indeed. It was pretty good and some good moments were there, but it lack something, especially at the end. Plus it's filled with 3d animation that just kind of breaks the immersion a tad.
You can still play it http://www.brokensword25.com/
I don't want the world, I just want your half

Thanks for appreciate my web page, but unfortunately I'm sorry to reveal you that the project is really buried. I'm now making an Indiana Jones fan game and I've found challenging and pretty easier to make (maybe because AGS is now very updated and you can find lot of help here).

OH :), btw, I've changed my username account as you can see...

Cyrus

Do you have any sketches, screenshots or gameplay demos from the BS fangame?

Gabarts

Maybe... I need to check out my old pc, but I have some fresh new sprites for a Simpson game also I've tried to make, it's Homer Simpson walking animation, I think I'll move to that after my Indiana Jones game. Simpsons are quite easy to animate and draw :), especially backgrounds

I'll show you something here next days

Not to be a stick in the mud, but typically those who come around with several different projects already planned out and ready to be made, turn out to be those who never actually release any real games. Myself for example. :)

Have you got any sprites, except George himself? Maybe some aliens? ;)
