Why don't you try it yourself? It'll probably be much more rewarding.

You could use Cakewalk (a popular midi making program around here) or Fruityloops (same sort of thing) or whatever...

Or if someone here could post one of those sites with free midis for him....?

#1:

i have no Instuments but my Armpit and a comb with wax paper.
and The FREE midi's are from other games and i need to pay licenceing fees.  so im SOL unless i have someone do for me.

i HAVE Fruity loops, but i can't use it unless i can record some INSTRUMENTS!!

Programs like Cakewalk don't require any keyboards. You can just place the notes manually, it's easier than you think.
Also, unless you're planning on selling your game, there's not really anything wrong with using midis from other games. Plenty of AGS games do it.
Check out the MIDI collection in my signature, though. You're welcome to use it.

Erm, Snark - from what I recall, you dissapeared. I haven't seen you post on this board for months.

I don't mean to sound mean, but you just pointed out on MSN that you gave up your game because of "no music". That really shouldn't be a reason for anyone to quit making a game. The music is something that is normally added right at the end anyway.

Still, I hope you find a good musician for your new project. Just be careful you don't cancel it due to no feedback before it's released! :P

Snark,

You'll never get anybody to do music for you if you don't be polite and stay in contact.

Also, you can't just ask for music. Once you get a person to do the music, you've got to help them out by giving descriptions of what music you need.

And like m0ds said, you don't have to stop a game just becuase there is no music.

So why don't you go find another composer on the boards here and see if they'll help you out.  I'd do the music but I'm all tied up with other projects. Besides you probably want MIDIs, not MP3s.

I think you'll find it works easier that way! :)

Ah... no offence, but being ready to release a demo and then suddenly finding you've got no music sounds more like poor management on your part than the composer's fault. You are the project leader, after all.
