I know that this question may look silly (but I've made a search in the forum to see if was already posted):
can you make a list of your top 5 favourites ags games? (and post it in this thread *edit for the smart ones*)
;D
Yes, I can. ;D
Me too!
EDIT: And yes, I can post it in this thread!

You'd update your site instead of posting useless messages in a thread in which you're not interested...
thanks

What are you talking about???
It doesn't say anywhere in my post/update that I'm not interested!
In fact, I read your question and thought, "Wow! What a great question! I'm going to answer it right away!"
And so, I did!
here's my top 5
1 - The uncertainty machine
2 - Pleurghburg : Dark Ages
3 - Apprentice
4 - Zak mcKracken : The New Adventures
5 - Norman Cooks : Search for the Don
I think the question is "Name your top5 ags-games" not "Can you name your top5 ags-games"!
Well...
1. 5 days a stranger
2. permanent daylight
3. astranded
4. Apocalypse VEL
5. Search for the Don-Thingie

I think the question is "Name your top5 ags-games" not "Can you name your top5 ags-games"!
But "name your top5 ags-games" isn't even a question.
It's an order.
And I'm not going to just follow any old order!
Let me tell you about another group of people that just followed orders -- THEY WERE CALLED NAZIS!!!
Fuckin Nazis!!!
... get over yourself?
Quote from: Toefur on Tue 28/10/2003 14:20:23
... get over yourself?
See!
Another order phrased as a question!
You bunch of totalitarians!
But just so am positively clear, you want me (without questioning your motives) to jump over my body.
Do you realise the impossibility of such an action?
;D ;D ;D
I can understand and laugh at the Anym first reply but not to your add and edit.... and also to your stupid claim to take it in a semi-serius way....
and talking about nazis...
1) nazis = following orders in a blind way
2) following orders in a blind way = stupid
3) stupid = make useless post
4) you = make useless post
5) guess.....

You dictator!
Now you're discriminating me by calling me stupid!
I feel sad that you insult my mental condition!
Hitler wanted to wipe out all people with mental conditions -- Is that what you're trying to do????
One day the workers will rise above your taunts of "Stupid!"
No, I will not "guess....." nor follow any more of your orders!
I will cast off the shackles of your oppression!
FREEEEEEEEEEDOM!!!!
I didn't call you nothing... you guessed what you felt....
bye...

I followed your "oh-so-subtle-list" and if I were to guess the last one (5), it would complete your list.
So let me get this straight: You are calling me stupid, but you're not calling me stupid?
For a dictator, you don't make much sense!
Also, what if I guess something different, like say "5. I'm a porn star who gets all women plus an oscar nomination for my role in a porn movie"?
Does that count?
Elianto: Don't worry about DG, he' s the AGS forums equivalent of the smelly old bum who sits down on a park bench next to you when no other benches are free. You don't really want them there, but out of pity you don't beat them in to a pulp and tell them to clear off out of your space.
;D
DG: Don't worry about Toefur's and Elianto's orders. Once I release my game, everyone will realise that I am the one to be obeyed and you will all bow down in front of me: so no-one else will give orders but me!
I realise that I have only played 8 AGS games, so my list may not be entirely representative:
1) Pluurrrburrrrg
2) III Spy
3) Buccaneer
4) The Dark Cave: Adventures of Princess Marian part IV
5) Adventures of Princess Marian
/me votes for DGMacphee.
1) King;s Quest 2 VGA: Romancing the stones
2) King's Quest 1 VGA: Quest for the crown
*Huge gap*
3) 5 days a stranger
4) Apprentice
5) The uncertainty machine

I've played your games -- they're crap!
Oops, by the way, these are my top 5 favourite games:
1. The Adventure of Princess Marian II: Mother's Day
2. The Dark Cave: Adventures of Princess Marian Part IV
3. The Adventures of Princess Marian
4. The Adventure of Princess Marian II: Mother's Day (Directors Cut)
5. Super Marian Sisters
ok I'd to admit that DG scored 1 fo the three possible answers... but he missed other 2...
;D
*edit* wasn't so subtle but I tried to make it with different endings... ;)
OMG, look at what I've started... :P
1. King's Quest II+ VGA
2. 5 Days A Stranger (even tough this might very be subjective as I only played it quite recently)
3. Ultimerr XII
4. Larry Vales 2
5. The Realiy-On-The-Norm-games (even tough the quality of the indivual titles varies greatly)
If you want it to be neither a question nor an order, I suggest "Please name your top 5 ags games.", which is a polite request, even tough it's still imperative from a grammatical point of view. :)
No, wait, restricting it to 5 games might be way too restrictive for some freedom loving people. ;)

Different ending???
OMG, you must be a criminal mastermind dictator instead one of those regular dictators!
Anym, I understand that my post wasn't the best way to ask what I intended....
I'd liked this info from the most of the board users because I think that the most of us haven't seen many ags games and maybe some hidden gems are laying somewhere undiscovered :P
It's okay, man -- we're just screwing with you. ;)
YOU TOTALITARIAN!!!
Silly forum insult wars..
That's what communism is all about...
To[ FOIV£ GARMS!
5. The one...um...in the Tv studio...Y'know...the MAGS one where you shoot your boss. I just really like it.
4. The Rob Blanc Trilogy. Mainly because they were the first AGS games I played and it was Yahtzee who introduced me to AGS.
3. A Better Mousetrap. Use RunHot spell on Elandra. DO IT NOW!
2. Plurby blurby flweeeurggh burg. I only played a tiny, tiny fraction of it but it ares blimmin' awesome.
1. <Space for Rent, I need to play more AGS games>

2) Buccaneer
3) Astranded
4) Pirate Fry 3
5) 5 Days A Stranger
I picked these just 'cause they're the most complete feeling/looking games. Even though some of them aren't that long. They just made me feel like the geeky little pimply faced 9th grader who was shirked by the ladies so came home and got lost in Space Quest III ...
Ahhh, sweet sweet memory lane ....
dm
these aren't in any particular odor
rob blanc games
