Title: Need scenario and level design help for horror game
Post by: Gord10 on Mon 05/04/2004 14:56:37
Hello,
I'm making a game called Nightmare In The Town. This is an AGS action-adventure game using pre-rendered 3D backgrounds. I'm using the Half-Life engine and the textures of a HL mod called "They Hunger". But I make all the  maps (levels) with Valve Hammer Editor by myself. The  places in the game are such like forests, abandoned houses, underground tunnels, a town etc.
Some screen-shots:

I haven't completed the entire scenario and the level design yet. It seems I can't manage it by myself. I need some help about it. But it might be the story of a camper who got lost in a damned forest.
Please contact me if you want to help me.

UPDATE: I've changed the game's name as "Lost In The Nightmare". And it won't be action-adventure, just adventure.

It's a dedective and ghost story. You're a dedective and searching for the campers who lost in a forest. The campers couldn't have been found for months by the police, so their families have rent you to find them. You must talk to the people who lives there and examine the environment.

Also there will be nightmare parts. I'll add game more symbolic puzzles and hints for the puzzles in the real life in the game. For instance; you will see an obvious sign below a rock in a nightmare which takes place in the campsite where the campers got lost. Then, you will go to the campsite again in the real life, and you will find a cursed book when you dig below the rock which you saw in the nightmare.

I need a people who can
*assist me for the scenario, story and puzzles
*proof-read (English isn't my first language)
*draw a cool logo for CoolBlue Studios
Please send me PM or e-mail or ICQ message if you want to help me.
Thanks :)

i'd be happy to proof read. and as a demo, i will point out that in that screen shot it should be "I lay awake" not "I lied awake"

I'll post there the walkthrough/game play of the 1st and 2nd (nightmare) level when it's ready.
BTW, the Cool Blue Studios logo looks nice, Evil.
