Due to the fact that skimbleshanks is no longer being updated, I have made my own resources site.
Edit: Thanks to AGA, my site now has proper hosting. It can now be found at:
http://www.americangirlscouts.org/agsresources/
It's not finished yet, Iv'e got most of the modules up, the rest will be up next week and i've got a page for the plugins but I havent got them to download yet (will do in a couple of days). It will also have small programs to download like free paint programs and stuff. Anyway feel free to look at it and tell me what you think of the layout, while it's still early enough to change it easilly.
Edit:
Ok good news, most of the site is online and everything is downloadable. Feel free to take a look.
It looks nice, & when it's properly ready it will be a great resource, thanks for sharing.
As Jason says, the most relevant page at the moment is http://www.freewebs.com/agsresources/modules.html
as no other pages have content.
Ok site updated, more pages are now online. These are:
Ã,Â
Ã, · The Plugins page with downloads available.
Ã, · Programs page with downloads.
Ã, · Fonts download page
Ã, · Templates section added
If anybody knows of a good place to upload files, please let me know.
This site is fantastic!
I can't download for now (I'm at school...) but when I'm home I'll try some modules and plugin's out.
A suggestion...: State which version of AGS is required to run the module/template. This is to avoid scripting problems and incompatible options.
... and a question: Do you also have plans of other sections? Maybe Tutorials would be a nice addition. I'd also love links to sites with free graphics on it...
Good work!

Thanks for your kind words, I appreciate it.
1) All versions of AGS run's plugins exept non windows (which iv'e stated.) As for modules, I'll try to add what version number they run under but it could be trickey for some.
2) Im not planning on it yet but we shall see, i'll think aboute it after i've finished the site and it's running smoothly. I dont know many sites with free graphics that can be used in AGS, if I did I would have released a game ages ago.
This site is mostly finished, just some small tweaks to finish and add 1 extra page, after this it will mainly be updated when someone has finished a new module or something. Anyway I hope you like the site, feel free to Email or PM me with any suggestions to improve the site.
Nice work putting all that together!
Hmmmrm.... Freewebs...
I personally prefer using CJB.net . There isn't the crazy Freeweb's bar at the top for a start... Anywho, the site looks great. Most of the content looks useful. I especially like the Indiana Jones template! :D For the record, just so you don't get angry, fish-head throwing PM's from Module Makers/Template Designers, crediting the designer would be a good idea. Also, some of those templates need descriptions! :P
On a side note, this definatly makes it easier for people such as me to grab stuff I need. It's on my Favorite list! :)
Good luck with the site

I think this is worthy of hosting on a proper site. Send me a PM and I'll set you up with hosting on americangirlscouts.org

1) I like freewebs, it's easy to upload your files and the bar at the top is easy to ignore compared to some other free web hosting.
2) I'll try to add descriptions to the templates, but some of them I dont have a clue what they areÃ, ???
3) Thanks.Ã, ;D

That would be great, I've sent you a PM but I dont know if you received it.
I would also just like to add that I have gotten rid of the stupid annoying text adds at the top of the screen. They would have never made me much money anyway so now there gone.
Amazing use of color for the site. Good job! :=
Sweet. Free link for the HEP folk!

HEP folk ??? Do you mean herculean effort?
Anyway I've done as Huw "Dave" Dawson suggested and added the names of who made each module and plugin. I cant do it for templates however as I cant find out who made most of them.
Rui's old skimbleshanks site probably has a lot of that info
Useful site, thanks!
I tried to download the walkthroughs zip file and I got into a cycle of "you must first visit the member's homepage" (I'm using Firefox).

Please, just call me Huw. 8) And it's nice to know you've credited all those peeps who created the modules. It's good to know who to complain to if it screws up AGS. ;D

I think that has something to do with the walkthroughs zip being hosted on tripod.lycos.co.uk whilst the site is on freewebs. I'll try uploading the zip to freewebs so try it now. (I use internet explorer, never tried firefox.)

That solved it, cheers.
Thanks to AGA,Ã, agsresources has now moved to:
http://www.americangirlscouts.org/agsresources/
All files are now hosted on the site with no external files.
Congrats on getting a new host! ;D
Yep - nice to see you hosted :) Good site!
The IconDialog module download links points to the wrong file. It should be http://www.americangirlscouts.org/agsresources/AGS%20resources/Modules/IconDialog_100.zip
Thanks for that, I copy and paste the tables and change the text inside. I guess I forgot to change the links.
Wow, there I go, bumping a month-old thread. Shame on me.
But you know, I just couldn't not say this - very well done. In many ways it's superior to my old site - it's tidy, looks and feels professional, and it's regular. And you're as much of a packrat as I was. It's a wonderful service.
One itty bitty little thing, though - you could consider collecting and uploading all current RON and MMM resources, and the instagame pack, and uploading them as well. :) It's the only thing missing in such a complete archive.
Off-Topic but:
All hope is not lost!
