would anyone be pissed if i made a ron game?? , i half all the backgrounds ad characters and gui and stuff. but i wouldnt wont to make anyone made, if there no objections ill start writing a story..
Why would we get mad? There are around 60+ RON games available. If we were going to get mad, it would have happened long ago.
The idea of RON is, that everyone can make a RON game.
alrigt just wanted to make sure, before i started making it then someone say hey "you cant do that you little whore" or something like that, anyway what i actually have in mind is a full length game,.....
say for example , you play as like 4 or 5 differnt ron characters you finish ones part of then game then, you take control of the next....
well anyway im gonna go start writing up a story, then dialogue , then ill work on cutscenes , interactions , and such , i should have a beta ready in a month or so..
Just remember, there are some guidlines in making RON games...I think not killing of characters is one of them. Might be the only one...I've never made a RON game, so I can't say for sure, but I think the above is a set rule, so keep it in mind.

Ahh, the "Who Killed Davey Jones?" game. Big contoversy from what I have read, bigger when he was revived. The unnoficial rule is not killing main characters, but you may kill homebrewed chars. I remember reading that in a thread a few months ago
"Main characters"? Wasn't one of the points of RON that there are no main characters per se, since any character can star in their own game? I mean, Creed and Drake and Josh Beachcomber have come pretty late in the game and Josh doesn't appear in many games... are they lesser characters? How about MI5 Bob, or the guy from The Spoons?
The rule is that you can't kill off any established characters.Ã, However, you are quite free to introduce a character and kill them off within the same game.Ã,Â
Ah, ok.
So any character that survives the game it's been introduced on can't be killed... unless, maybe, it's the creator that does the killing. Key-rrrrrrect?
I would get mad. The original creator of the RON games said if more than 61 games were made, he would outlaw ALL RON games forever. :P
Ya, Dave pretty much nailed what I was trying to say. Thanks Dave
Maybe that's why very few games have been made... the 61st was "The Lost Dollar", and since then there haven't been any particularly notourious games, and at 66 games it seems to have lost most of it's followers...
...heh. 66. Maybe the original creator set a curse, or something?

I am not a Reality on the Norm character! I am a real human being, as real as you or your Auntie or anyone. A REAL HUMAN BEING!
As for RoN being dead, I don't think so. It is just... resting. Hibernating. It has fallen fallow and raised up pheonix like more than once before...
Mr. Gilbert has a game in the works that I know of, and the next kitty game will be done someday, I swears. It just gets worked on sporadically. Time takes time, at times.

I feel kinda stupid now, but what's a RON game? :-\
Reality on the Norm, a series of 67 games (so far).

Anyone can add their own game, with the only limitations being, a) it's set in RON, and b) don't kill established characters.
Hey, they killed off the chicken!
Did people complain about that one? =)
What? WHAT? WHO KILLED THE CHIEKN? AND IN WHAT GAME?
...but if you're talking about the chicken's BROTHER, then it, like COsby, are all right - they died in the game they were introduced.
