Here's an EGA pallette ...

I don't have a CGA pallette but here's something you might find interesting on WikiPedia:

Color Graphics Adapter (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Color_Graphics_Adapter)

Hope that helps.

I've been looking for old palettes as well, but the problem I'm having is that, as I understand it, there isn't really one "CGA palette" or one "EGA palette" per se, as each one is composed of a number of colors chosen by the creator of whatever software uses it. The choices of color were somewhat limited, but the range was still larger than any one palette could actually hold, especially when accounting for different intensities.

Do I have that correct? I tried to read the article several times and that's about what I came up with. Problem is, I can't remember what the basic colors were for those old systems....

CGA comes in two flavours in pc games to make a long story short:

Cancer purple - Radioactive Blue - Colorblind Gray

Shit Brown - Puke Green - Blood clot Red.

Either halfbrite, or fullbrite for EYE DEATH. Awful, awful adapter.

For EGA, just use the 'full palette' given in the wiki article.

Remember when games have either CGA or EGA mode, and it was always the big question if your computer could handle the EGA graphics?

Man, I loved those EGA graphics.  Nothing was better than playing Arkanoid in EGA mode.

Oh CGA, that brings me back. I remember dropping 300$ to upgrade from CGA graphics, years and years ago... Oh my, I'm old!  ;D
