out of curiosity, has anyone ever realeased their source code/AGS files for public scrutiny? The games I have played, I'm mostly impressed and find myself muttering under my breath "How did they do that?" so while I know its unlikely, I wondered if any of you knew.

That's a start.
You should ask these questions in ags chat, tough.
Follow my sig to the BlueGui..
There should be a FAQ in the main AGS site answering this question. if there is, then it's too hidden for anyone to find. :-P
i don't think you read him right netmonkey
he's asking for AGS game code not AGS the engine code
So, if I have understood well, what The_creeps want is the script... I find it a good idea, and I thought it by myself before... I don't know to script, I don't actually need it because I really love to work in groups, but it should be nice if the newbies like me could go to the script to see how the programmers have managed to script the puzzle we've just solved. I think it would encourage people to scrip, because all puzzles are, IMO, a combination on 5 or 6 basic ideas.
I don't know how this can be done... This thread will dissapear soon, so a pleadge to everyone to include the souce within his game wouldn't work too much... I think somebody whould create a page where gathering all the sources, but it's just an idea...
