Yea I checked it out the other day. It definatley looks promising and humourous and will be eagerly awaiting it's release as I'm sure some other people will be.
When I was a little kid we had a sand box. It was a quicksand box. I was an only child... eventually.

I bought Ankh a few days ago and already started to play. If you liked the Monkey Island series, you will simply love Ankh. It has a lot of humor (Old LucasArts games style), the graphics are neat and puzzels are pretty original. There are a lot of allusions to other adventure games (e.g. a little dialogue: "I'm your lost heir!" "You are Guy Al Brusha?")

I hope this game will be distributed outside of the german speaking countries, because it is really great and if you have the chance to play the game - do it or better buy it :)

The german sound/voices are btw. great! They used voices of known dubbing artists. Assil, the main character, has the german voice of Ben Stiller. Other featured voices are the german ones of Renée Zellweger or John Cleese. Well I hope the english voices are that good too :)

It's funny how all the germans talk about the 'german tom cruises' and the 'german ben stillers'. To me, as a Finnish person, that sounds utterly insane. I think it's really important to get the original as it was meant to be. This is why I usually read english books rather than finnish ones, for example. In Finland they only dub children's shows and maybe some commercials. Some years back, one channel actually ran the Bold & the Beatiful as dubbed in Finnish. It was really hilarious. Anyway, it really makes you wonder if the germans (or any other dubbing nation) has ever heard the real voices of our supposedly most famous folk.

Seeing as kl4Uz has a Leningrad Cowboy as his avatar, I would assume so  ;D

Yeah you really have a good point ;) Most people here (including me) are really used to the actors "german voices". Sometimes I recognize the voice of an actor that was used for another actor in a movie, well it's pretty confusing ;)
Personally I prefer the original versions of movies (most likely the english one), but there is like one movie per week in english here at a cinema, so you can only buy the DVDs to get the original sound. There are some (very rare) movies and series on TV sendt in 2-channel-sound, which means there are two mono streams, one in german and one in english. I think the only TV series currently airing in 2-channel-sound is "Desperate Housewives".

But back to topic: Ankh rules ;D
