There appear to be two AGS games to buy on Steam.

AGS game. Steam. AGS game on Steam.

I don't think any other AGS game has ever actually managed to get so far into the world of non-AGS people, so I think this is a real achievement!

Wow, that's pretty sweet!

Maybe it'll help expand the genre to people who think they hate adventures... or better yet:
Think they know what they are.

There's been a recent spat of adventure games on Steam... what with the Monkey Island release, the Space and King's Quest series being available... The Dig as well.

And Wadjet Eye just put on Emerald City Confidential on Steam a few weeks back... maybe the Blackwell games might make an appearance soon... I'm hoping so, because I've not bought them yet, and hope to eventually...I find it assuring to have games on Steam somehow, just cos I know I can download it again whichever computer I end up moving to or buying next...

So CJ's plan of world domination is one step closer to fruition then?

TerranRich

Hell, I'm putting my game on Steam when I finished it (the commercial game, that is).

Wait... the 'double-pack' gives me TGP and BTDT at a low price? Is there some sort of BTDT special edition I haven't heard about until just now?

EDIT: Hmm, I just clicked on the 'top-sellers' tab and it gave the Time Gentlemen Please pack as #3. Considering that the list includes Assassin's Creed, Prototype, GTA 4, Mirror's Edge and Batman Arkham Asylum underneath that placing I'm not really sure what to make of it..

Dualnames

Great news, congrats to the Time Gentlemen please team!!!
Worked on Strangeland, Primordia, Hob's Barrow, The Cat Lady, Mage's Initiation, Until I Have You, Downfall, Hunie Pop, and every game in the Wadjet Eye Games catalogue (porting)

Crumbs, 'greatest AGS achievmement yet' feels a bit grandiose! ;)

Getting on Steam is awesome, and massively exciting. :D

Chicky

That's nuts! Massive congratulations!

Jealous much guys?  :=

What is more inciting than two AGS games appearing in my Steam Games list?
Congrats to both, I'll start playing two new games as soon as possible.

Shut your mouth before I'm forced to look at you like your avatar looks at me.

This is great new for Ben and Dan and also really good news for AGS.  Hopefully it will attract more people to the genre, and encourage more people to have a go at making their own.

Well played Zombie Cow!

Much harder than you think!  Those Steam dudes are picky!

TerranRich

I don't know how the process works, but if they're picky, then I can only hope they'll think of By the Sword as being worthy enough. ;D

TGP and BTDT on steam is fantastic news for everyone. People who may not be comfortable buying from a regular webstore will otherwise be quite happy to buy off steam. Also, steam is great in that once the product is linked from your account, you are fine to redownload at anytime without hassle.

AFAIK, it was playfirst, not Wadjet Eye who put ECC on steam, but still great news.

Ahh k, I glanced to see Wadjet Eye under the credit list and assumed away... :P

Yes, PlayFirst put a bunch of their games on Steam recently, including ECC.  It had nothing to do with me! :)

But getting an AGS game on Steam is grand news!  The Blackwell games and The Shivah are going to following you guys soon. So yay adventures on Steam!

Phemar

This is awesome. I'm just disappointed at the horribly compressed screenshots :/

 Hi people,

I've just read last number of the magazine GAMES tm in the uk, and includes a 4 page interview with Dan Marshall and a review of the Time Gentlemen, Please! It gets a 7/10, but it gets a glowing review.

Great to see AGS games reaching this levels of popularity, it's a shame that AGS didnt get a mention in the magazine, as it would have brought a lot of new fans to the cause.
