I want to make some sword fight in game, it should be easy to and fun to play. I really liked Insult sword fight, but it's kinda "monkey islandish". If you have any ideas, write it here...

If you want some resemblance to reality, I'd suggest you take one specific sword fighting style and see if any rules or something like that can be converted into a computer game.
Wiki it, maybe some research would bring some ideas.

I'm thinking about epee(sp) and it's ''right-of-way'' rule, and how it could easily be converted into a turned based computer game.
Sid Meirs ''Pirates'' also had swordfighting, maybe see there too for reference.

You should also have in mind the presentatiom, ie. how will you draw it, as some approaches may have advantages better suited to your gameplay goals. Top down or isometric, using tiles, is probably more suited for a tactical approach, while a side view presentation may be better suited for action type games for instance.

Ofcourse, nothing is stopping you from doing it your own way.

EDIT:
Just wikied it, Épée has no right of way, but Foil and Sabre do.

Here it is.

I have good memories of Swashbuckler. A game I played at school on one of the 1st apples. There should be roms for an emulator.

The best simple(but perhaps over simple) duelling system I've seen was in the original Prince of Persia.

Like Prince of Persia is a cool style. just defend and attack style. It really depends on the game you want. A goofy style or a realistic style.
I myself like both. Monkey Island and Prince of Persia. But would say Prince of Persia is easier simpler and is less frustrating. (Sometimes) :P

Only style I hate is like RPG game styles. turn-based style I mean. They are really boring to me.   I think Action-based style is much more fun to me.

there is my advice anyway ;)

I remember back when I use to fence with the sabre (Still finding a school for it now.) I remember that with a sabre, you could only hit the torso. Hope that helps.
