My Current Project: SILVER BRAND, is a Fantasy/Sci-Fi Adventure that follows the tales of Princess Ta'Meryl Fawx in a Fantasy world that was once the incidental battlefield for an interstellar war... and unless something is done may yet be again.

STORY: While out scavenging in the forbidden epicenter of the “Metal Graveyard”, Princess Ta’Meryl Fawx is separated from her friends and protectors. On her own, she finds herself trapped in an ancient Sky Carrier, which still shows the battle-scars of a conflict already hundreds of years past. With no food, no protection and nobody to do the thinking or fanning for her, the young Princess may soon find an even more forbidden shiny thing or two, which could alter her own destiny… forever!








As a labour of love, the project is being released for free! So I don't expect to be paid or to pay anyone else to help out. However, I do intend to do a larger project (To sell) in the future using the same characters/universe, and would expect to use and then pay any voice-actors/composers for THAT work that are willing to help out before such a time comes.

Basically: I'd feel more comfortable hiring people that I've already worked with, and have helped me in the past.

Hi MiGo.  I *might* be able to help, depending how many lines you need.  I'm in the midst of doing VO for another game, and there are several female roles.  If the roles are small I might be able to convince the actresses to do some extra lines for a side project.

Wow. I am being absolutely floored by how helpful you guys are. Seriously, in my experience, most succesfull or semi-succesfull game designers and artists have been prickish and downright rude. Even when I'm only asking for advice, let-alone help!

Thanks so much for the post Dave! At present, I'm at work so I can't pull anything up, but honestly, only Silver and Ta'Meryl have any decent amount of lines. The rest of the ladies will be recurring characters in the future. So, the ony problem I may run into is: If they did help me out, I'm guessing I wouldn't be able to re-use them in my follow-up side project (for the same characters) without paying them.

The only thing I could offer to help you out are my artistic services.

I'm a bit crowded with school at the moment, but four tracks I could do - I usually try and write music which is catchy, I've done the scores for Hard Space, Technobabylon III and Operation Forklift. @Vertigoaddict - AhH! I was actually surprised at how well you do a woman's voice. Do you have any sound bytes of you doing a man's voice as well? I'm curious to see how that might sound to see if it fits anyone.

@FamousAdventurer77 - Orly? xD If you get a-hold of any kind of recording equipment anytime soon, feel free to link a sound byte! Even if it's too late for this project (It isn't as of this post), then I could probably still use you for future ones. Heck, someone else might listen in and want to contact you as well!

@ShiverMeSideways - Have any kind of portfolio page where I can listen to one or two? I haven't played the TechnoBabylon series yet, or Hard Space and Operation Forklift. I do know that means I'm missing out, but I've gotta spend my time adding a cinema into the game that I had been wanting to today.

(This wouldn't be the case if grad school wasn't sucking all of my time, money, and will to live. 6 more months til freedom!!!)

When dough is bit more plentiful I want to shop around for a USB mic and see what I can find then get some tips in terms of recording/editing software (read: what's free/cheap, and pretty easy to use.)

Silver sounds like the perfect part for someone like me since I have a deep and clear voice (read: "sultry"), and I could definitely be described as wise and perverse!

I checked out your music, and really loved the sound you've got going on. Right now I'm going for a more medieval feel, but you're definitely the man for something more futuristic! I'll definitely keep that in mind!
