Question for The Dave Gilbert

An early Lands of Lore game, followed by Myst drew me into gaming. Played a few of the King's Quest games but got frustrated with paying more on the Sierra Hint Line than for the games. Along the way I encountered Gilbert's Blackwell series, which drew me in, and also introduced me to AGS. I lurk around the forum and from time to time make an attempt at creating a game.

It seems like Dave Gilbert could have continued the Blackwell games well into the future. So, I'm curious as to how/why he decided the series needed to end? For a time I was following the Wadjet Eye site, not so much anymore, and I hope this isn't something Dave Gilbert addressed either there, or here, on this forum. Just a matter of personal curiosity.

Personally, I feel a well done conclusion is more satisfying than an endless series, and after over 10 years of having a story on mind, I'd imagine he'd want to move on.

@Snarky: Thanks for the links. I'll check them out.

Edit: That Kritiqal Care interview fully answered any question for Dave Gilbert that I could possibly have. So, thanks, again. Dave Gilbert can ignore this. I'll now go back to lurking over there, in the corner.

@Babar: True enough, but I wanted more. In particular, thought Lauren and Joey had more to do, and that there was some chemistry there, that Rosa missed out on. Just my take.
