Has anyone else heard the news that Charles Cecil, the man who gave us Broken Sword and Beneath a Steel Sky, to name a few, has won an MBE in recognition of his "services to the computer game industry".  That is good news for adventure fans if ever there was any.

MBE's are dead.

Long live the CBE.

But good on the man, he's a really great, passionate guy. And a real favor to the UK gaming market. Of all the commercial game developers I know, he definitely deserves this.

What's more important is they're recognizing an adventure game developer, not Peter Molyneux for once. Though I would MBE him for Theme Park alone if it were my choice :P Take heed of this. Cecil should be an inspiration for all :) I wonder if the judges played BASS  :=
