We have 1,741 games in the database (unless someone snuck another one in when I wasn't looking ) - 841 of those have received less than 5 ratings, so don't have any overall ratings. Let's try to do something about this!
Check the NOT VERY RATED (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/site/games/notveryrated/) list, pick one or more games, play them and give them a rating. Let's try to give more developers feedback on how much we liked their games! (nod)
Come on, you know you want to...
Great initiative Captain! Let's do it!

Not THAT recently - April 2013 - and I wasn't suggesting that I was doing anything new or innovative here - just thought it was time to bring the subject up again.
I'll help out with this. I love playing AGS games. Graphics don't matter to me. I just love them all. The first thing I did, though, was rate Wretcher five cups as it definitely deserves to be rated more.
I'm jumping on the bandwagon also! YAY!:-D
We could drastically decrease the numbers of games that need to be voted for by creating a system. Such as going through alphabetically, or a person picking a game that we all play, as to decrease the number of games steadily.
Ah the hell, it has always annoyed me that so many good games go unrated. I'm in. Not too much time but I can surely burn through some of the short games.
Sane: That is a nice idea, with the system. If someone has a plan, do share, I'm up for that.
Sane / Ghost - I had a similar idea but didn't really know if it would go round too well. I think it may have to be a private arrangement done by PM on in a separate group or something as otherwise people might get upset because games are being publicly advertised for rates...? Don't know if I'm being paranoid but you know the capacity of some people to get annoyed by things done in perfect innocence.
My idea was for someone to nominate a couple of games, everyone tries to play them and nominate them, once both games have an overall rating the next person chooses a couple of games and so on. If 10 people were actively involved in doing this we could reduce the number of unrated games pretty quickly.
If possible, we could create another section on the forums called "Games to be played" or "Games to be rated." This section could be used for game recommendations and for rating. A developer could easily post in this forum asking for ratings on their new games. This would also allow people to post which game they are planning on rating, and the amount of people needed to rate the game before it is fully rated. Allowing recommendation would lead to people finding unknown gems that they never new existed. The recommendations would also spur on how fast games are fully rated. Another improvement this section would make is the possibility of asking for new and interesting games to play. For recommendations, this would also improve the ratings of games that have five or more votes. (The more votes, the better right?) This ideas just my two cents, tell me what you think. (Sorry if it's not easy to create a new section.) BTW, 4 lung boy only needs one more vote (I think. It would be helpful to know and sort by how many people have rated a game.). I had fun with this short game.
