Storyline is a very strong element in an RPG, but you are missing another strong element: The addiction. Levelling up your characters gives you a sense of achievement, and it becomes an addiction to make them the strongest bastards in hell.

thats a very valid point and i will be sure to raise this in our next group meeting. cherz

but I don't think that sensitive issues should be avoided because they're sensitive.  I would love to see a game that explores some sensitive subject matter in a mature and thoughtful way.  Wouldn't it be interesting to see games starting philosophical or moral discussions the way that some movies or novels do?  Not that ever game needs to do that.  The first job of a game is, after all, to be fun.

Anyways, I think not enough games have non-corporeal beings.  Yeah.  Either those or pirates.

ARRRRR! Pirates. Me like pirates. Cyber Punk (?) was mentioned in discussion. I'd like to see some philosophy in the storyline also. Yeah.
Non-corporeal... like ghouls and spirits?  :o How about invisible sprites? Lol.
Cheers for the input.
