Post by: Joseph DiPerla on Wed 26/02/2014 16:55:34
It was announced today that they have been working on AGS port for SCUMMVM through the Google summer of code agenda they have. Interesting news. Source: Scummvm.org

Seems to be real: http://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/GSoC_Ideas#AGS

Well, that could be one of the most awesome things in the world to happen. Because... you know of any system that doesn't supports ScummVM? NES... and MSX... and...
I hope it gets done. It would be great to play AGS games on mobile phones and virtually anything else compatible with SDL.

Lol, no. I just happened to notice this and was wondering if anyone knew anything about this. One good thing with this is that it can at least allow backwards compatibility on its player, which in turn allows AGS development to focus less on that and more on improvements.
