Gaming site you trust...

Hey guys!

I wonder what gaming sites do you trust for game reviews?
I'm following Gamespot and IGN but I hate it that they promote shitty first person shooter blockbusters most of the time.
Also both of them get advertisements from big game companies so how objective can they be?

I also follow adventuregamers which is very good (although it gives MI3 3/5 stars and it's my favourite game of all time) but it's only for adventure games.

What I'm looking for is honest reviews for gamers who want challenging and interesting games and coverage of blockbuster as well as indie games...

Suggest away...

I usually go for GiantBomb's quicklooks.
Not reviews per-se, more like 15-45 minute long videos of them just playing the game in question and, well, either cracking jokes or just talking about the game.
Easier to see whether the game is for you or not than just any review.

Also, nice to see you back!

Rockpaperthingie? - Pfff... Everyone in the know religiously follows and trusts only A Hardy Developers Journal obviously.

LimpingFish

I second the GiantBomb love. RPS is a good PC-centric site. Destructoid isn't bad either.
Steam: LimpingFish
PSN: LFishRoller
XB: TheActualLimpingFish
Spotify: LimpingFish

I follow Reloaded   ;D
But then again, I would do, since I'm admin there.   :P

I'm sorry, Butcher, this post isn't helpful, but I shall post anyway ;)

I don't follow any of these sites or read e-zines or anything of the sort - unless I happen upon an article whilst searching or somebody gives me a link. They could vanish from existence just from one caress across Leafshade's left nut at midnight tonight and I probably wouldn't even notice.

Even though reading articles about games from somebody else's point of view is entertaining, I don't take any of it to heart, where as, what they are saying is to my benefit to whether I will enjoy the game or not (even if what they are saying is to my liking).

I guess what I am getting at is I don't base what I am going to like and purchase/download on reviews, which is why I don't have any interest in reading them regularly.

There are specific things I look for in games, so most of the time I know what I am getting before hand. I am satisfied most of the time.

I play what I want and I want what I play. Yo ho ho and a bottle of Rum.

But anyway, enough lollygagging, check out MY game reviews blog.
