I enjoyed it a lot.
You might like it if you don't like emo, as it mostly just makes fun of the genre in some way or another.

Also, I wouldn't call it an adventure game.
It's an arcade platformer.

Additionally there's enough pop culture and music references to satisfy most people.

I think they're absolutely brilliant and mega awesome.
