I can see your new, and most new people do this "Team" idea.
In most cases it doesn't work, and not alot of people are going to join your team to help you. You're asking them to basically do the whole game minus programming.
Sorry to say, bud.. But you're gonna have to do the dirty work like the rest of us.. Trust me, you can learn art, and people will do music for free..
But you essentially have to do the game by yourself, all your work.. So what if your art isn't MI quality, you can do the game however you feel!
We've seen this all the time, and don't feel insulted from what I've said.. It's meant to help you!

Yeah, we've seen it over and over... the only way to motivate a team is to show them something to get excited about. And that means you have start doing a lot of the work yourself. You have to have something to show, even if it's just a well-thought out script and design. I'd recommend trying to make a demo yourself, even if you can't make good art and music. At least it's a place to start, and if people are excited by your ideas, then they'll want to work with you.

Nope, the only way you can get off on the wrong foot here is to lie, be annoying, and ignore everybody's pleas to "stop being a jerk". We were all new at one time, so just sit back, observe, comment, contribute, and have a good laugh every so often.
I'll give a hand for you with the story elements. I have an odd sense of humour, so not everything I come up with might suit your tastes. ;)

I can understand if you need help with games. The only problem is that people don't want to paint only for you. They want to paint AND to program the game.
I also can't paint very good like many other people. So I think a kit with backgrounds, character images and so one would be a good help for beginners. I think at the Critics Lounge there was something like that.
I would like to make a German translation of your game if you are finished. I would also like to do a voice acting in German. If you want I'll do this in English (if I can speak the words enough good for you).
You should put a link to that what you've already done. And if it would be only the story. I can't joint to a team if I don't know what the game is about. You needn't to publish the whole story if you are afraid of that people will steal it.

hey! why dont we all give a bit of graphics n stuff, jam it in some zips and let people download for their games?
many people cant do the art them selves.. or they want to start with something not too heavy, so i believe it would be welcomed by them newbies n those who just dont got it.
u know.. make some backgrounds n characters n stuff for them? i think it sounds nice..
there isnt too much out there to use.

Well I planned to do another instagame pack once my couple of games are done, in a few weeks probably. Not sure what the theme of the pack will be yet though.
I don't think it'll happen. Many have suggested zipping up the backgrounds from Background Blitz & other stuff but the idea never took off because no-one took charge to do it.
then i will... im goin to leech every goddamn blitz n zip it..
Bear in mind that some people who drew backgrounds for the Blitz will want to use them in their own games, and won't appreciate other people 'stealing' them.
Also, there is such a variety of styles that the graphics couldn't really be put together into one game. This is Instagame's advantage - all the images are drawn in the same style and fit together nicely.
Yeah. You would be much better off doing the art yourself. It may look slightly strange (depending on how good a drawer you are), but it will look better than haveing completely different styles.
seems i was a bit off the road for a while there..
so im thinking about making some packs of backgrounds. and not stealing from others.
maybe i'll give away some of my characters when im done with my game.
