June 1st will mark the 10 year anniversary of when I sat down to make The Shivah, our first commercial game. I decided to do a little victory lap and commission a piece of artwork to commemorate the occasion:
This includes every player characters from every one of our games that we wrote or published. All the successes, all the flops, everything in between, all together.
Thanks to everyone on this forum. Even though I don't post often anymore, this place has always been our foundation.
Ten frigging years. An exhausting prospect, but a satisfying one. Here's to ten more!
-Dave, feeling old
Many congratulations, Dave! I've spent the last few years catching up with most of Wadjet Eye's stuff and every single one of your games has been worthwhile in one way or another. Looking forward to whatever the future may bring. Keep on being amazing :=
Congrats! :cheesy:
Impressive mate, well done - and I hope other members of the AGS community will be able to post similar messages in years to come. ;-D
Congratulations! Quite an impressive line-up you have collected during the years ;-D
Congratulations, what an adventurous array of characters!
Congrats to you and the team!
Though I haven't played all your games, your company has always been an inspiration to me.
I also like that the person doing a lot of your backgrounds seems to love the BaSS art style as much as I do. :D
And here's to plenty more years ahead!!
Yes! Another ten years, and then another! Just don't go all corporate and sell out to Disney (after ditching the genre that the gamers loved you for in favor of that one obscure IP that suddenly exploded in popularity) ;)
Oh, I'm totally willing to sell out. Only problem is that nobody is buying yet. :)
Massive congratulations!!!
As someone who has similar dreams, you and your company are a constant source of inspiration.
Not to mention my deep love for all things Blackwell!
Keep on keeping on!!!
Achievement Unlocked!
Congrats Dave! ;-D
Congrats to 10 successful years in the business!
Congratulations to ten successful years.
Here's hoping for another ten! :-D
Congratulations! :D
What an achievement!
I look forward to 2026, when you go back and do VR remasters of your back catalogue. (And we purists get angry and start doing fan de-makes in the style of Bestowers of Eternity.)

So, congrats, old dude. I wouldn't be here, cluttering up the forum, except for the Blackwell series. Curious regarding what you consider to be your "flops?"
There were flops? Surely you mean fops? ;-D
Anyway, all the best on your 10th anniversary. You are a great inspiration :-D
Congrats!
I'm so happy for you that you've been able to make Wadjet Eye Games a success on your own terms (and in the way that matters to the rest of the world: by developing and publishing adventure games that rank among the best of the genre). No one deserves it more! Your talent, dedication, good sense and just gosh-dang niceness is an inspiration to all, and the opportunities you've been able to offer to talented members of the AGS community have realized untold amounts of potential. Heartfelt congratulations!
Good luck going forward to you, Janet, and the whole Wadjet Eye team! May you have many more decades of success ahead!
Congratulations!!
It's so great that not only have you shown what can be done but you've faithfully brought many fellow AGS'rs along for the ride ;-D
Congratulations to Dave, Janet and all contributors to Wadjet Eye.
I remember meeting Dave in 2007 (Brittens) in a sleepy town in Wales and asking all about his games whilst everybody else went climbing a rather large hill. Who knew his efforts would take him this far?
To be honest I kind of knew Dave would go far just by talking to him.
A successful company of any size needs a guy like him at the helm, A well driven individual with creative purpose who never gives in (Thinking of when Steam temporarily turned them down for distribution that one time ).
May you continue to entertain the masses for many years to come!!
Glad to be able to play your games, Mr G, and I hope to be able to do so for many years yet!
Holy crap, congratulations!
Well Done Dave, I've been trying to make an adventure game since the 90's but never achieved anything close to what you have. Definitely something to strive for. Crongratulations on creating a great empire in Wadjet Eye.
A well deserved congratulations.
Wadjet Eye is truly an inspiration, and I wish you the best for the future.
I remember that conversation, SinSin! I was terribly jetlagged and didn't feel like climbing up a mountain. I stayed behind along with you and... I think it was Annie? I remember complaining that it was July and freezing. :)
Anyway, thank you all again for the well-wishes.
Congratulations Dave and Janet
Well done :D
I'm probably late, but anyway - congratulations! (nod)
Love your games! Always inspiring. Especially Blackwell and Primordia. Would replay these any day. :)
congraduations
I bought Shardlight and like it alot. Tough puzzles though
Congrats Dave!
Yes, I'm still alive

Wow, ten years! Bartimaeus and I competed against you with The Netherworld way back during that Mags. Good times!
Congrats! Hopefully a reasonable number of more years of great games from Wadjet Eye! Don't do an AGSexit just yet. :)

At this point there's very little else I CAN do. So it's this or nothing. :)
Congrats Dave! Longtime fan here, I've played almost every single Wadjet Eye game, and I hope you continue making adventure games for a looooooong time. :)
Congrats Dave! Has it really been that long? Man time flies. I'm definitely a fan of your games and what you've been able to build on your own terms. You are an inspiration to me and many others! Thank you! Hope the adventure continues for many more years to come!
Congratulations Dave! Big fan, really looking forward to Unavowed :)
