Top 10 upcoming adventures game... and it DOESN'T HAVE BRAD BRADSON II?!?! >:( ::)
How terrible!11
Holy crap. That's some big news!
Now all they need is a publisher - how about LucasArts?
Yes this magazine would be very interesting especially for hardcore fans like us.They should publish it!
Look shadowplay is #5! Congratulations errr.... Shadowplay author? GarageGothic? (I'm really really sorry, i cant remember) :-[
Anyway, for me the biggest news is A VAMPYRE STORY!!
I can not believe that after YEARS of absolutley minimal interes in adventure games ( i think MI3 is the last one that really had the "thing"), I found an adventure which i am REALLY awaiting (all these AGS games are just plain very good, but no more, no offense :-\).
I didnt need to read that it was made by ex Lucas Arts employees, nor the stroy, i just saw the screens and i could FEEL that ENERGY!
Those from runaway were OK, but when i saw these!! (http://gamer.vip.hr/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_ave.gif)

I still dont think its real. I cant believe i FINALLY found something for myself. I am deeply awaitng this one!
That's interesting.
I spoke to Bill Tiller once and he told me he was in the midst of designing a vampire related adventure game. I wonder if this is it?

Thanks Czar, I must admit I was pretty surprised too when I saw that list. And somewhat embarassed for not having updated the Shadowplay thread in games-in-production for ages - I also noticed that I was the only developer on the list who didn't have a website :-[
Looks like Goldmund has some competition in the vampire genre now ;) The game sounds cool, and with all the old Lucas-guys on the team, it just can't fail. I just wish the graphics were a bit more... Tim Burton-like or something. Darker, dirtier, not quite so cutesy. I can't help be reminded of Gilbert Goodmate for some reason, but I certainty see the similarity to Curse of Monkey Island's graveyard scenes. I really like the drawing style of the character's face though, it reminds me of Gerald Scarfe's designs for Disney's Hercules. I know the game isn't supposed to be scary, but even the Halloweenland world (I know that wasn't the real name, but it was a Burton rip-off) in KQ7 had more atmosphere.
It's Bill Tiller's game fer'shaw.
it think it looked fine myself 8)
The most interesting thing i saw was Sam and Max: The Case Gilbert. I always liked sam and max.Cant wait till it comes out.
...
Did you even LOOK at the last few pages, Tanker?

Yep, same one.
Oh yeah.
I'm totally like... an insider or some shit.
you just said this, so you'd obviously played the games and liked them

but later said this, prroving that you hadn't played the games but wanted to rip sprites from them for a fangame

Well it can happen, becuase if i play the game just to rip the sprites then i will ruin the story.I want to make the game, and then play the real one not just for the sake of the sprites, but for the goy of iy. (Did i just say that?)
anybody else spotting something wierd in tankers entrys?
It's possible he loves Sam and Max from the comics... I'm guessing there'd be a fair few Sam and Max fans in the world who haven't played the game. (just throwing this out there, believe me, I had all the normal reactions to his posts too.)
Thats not what you're suppsed to say. you should say, Damn you tanker, damn you to hell. There were comics? WOw. which came first?
The comics...
You seriously didn't know Sam & Max was based on a comic?
nope ;D sorry if thats a crime. i just liked the game. anywhere i can see some of the comic strips? (is that where the image sin the intro are from?)
You can see some of the stuff at http://www.swiss.ai.mit.edu/~dml/SamNMax/samnmax.html

There was also a Sam & Max TV show that aired on FOX Kids a few years ago, but I believe it was cancelled after one season.
Yes, one series of 24 episodes. You can find some of them on suprnova. (http://www.suprnova.org)
I saw the cartoon once - I seem to remember that for no clear reason they switched Sam's deadpan Bogart detective voice for a generic 'wacky' cartoon voice, and I basically dismissed it just because of that. Aside from that, I don't know whether it was actually any good or not. The style seemed kinda similar to the Earthworm Jim cartoon, which was actually pretty good, so who knows?
