Seeing as cool projects on Kickstarter appear all the time, I thought it'd be neat to have one thread for all interesting kickstarters we spot. Both so they're all together and that no one has to hesitate and ponder starting a thread just to share one. (But not to discourage actual authors from starting threads about their campaigns if they want) If you don't think it's a such a good idea, well then may the mods just rename this thread into Her Majesty's SPIFFING kickstarter because that's what I wanted to share right now anyway.
So, uh, yeah, Her Majesty's SPIFFING Kickstarter (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1236117571/her-majestys-spiffing). I found the humour in the pitch video very charming, and having another cute 3D adventure game can't hurt I reckon. Thoughts?
SPIFFING looks great visually. I don't normally care for humour games because there's so precious few good ones out there (don't think I've encountered a genuinely good one in the past 10 years), but maybe this can turn out to be a gem.
A couple more curious things:
a tabletop game by the designer of the setting of the new Torment game (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1433901524/the-strange-a-tabletop-rpg-by-bruce-cordell-and-mo)- very promising Sui Generis is asking for some extra crowdfunding boost (http://www.baremettle.com/sg/contributions/)
Sprite Lamp (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/finnmorgan/sprite-lamp-dynamic-lighting-for-2d-art)- Dynamic lighting for 2d art.
Some cool Kickstarters that have caught my eye recently:
Novus Aeterno (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2122031929/novus-aeterno-a-true-aaa-mmorts) - MMORTS - looks pretty amazing
Interstellaria (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/coldricegames/interstellaria) - open world, very retro
Sentris (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/samanthazero/sentris-unleash-your-inner-musician) - interesting looking music game - FUNDED
Prime Alien Watch Squad (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/primealienwatchsquad/paws-prime-alien-watch-squad) - turn based casual strategy game, promising complex strategy on later levels despite an extremely simple gameplay mechanic
Quest for GridIron (http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/puzzle-football-quest-for-the-gridiron) - sport, puzzle and RPG rolled into one (IndieGoGo]
The Girl and the Robot (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2039811773/the-girl-and-the-robot) - adventure, you have to control a girl and a robot to solve puzzles together
Obuction (//http://) - Mystalike - I'm not a fan of this sort of game myself but if you are, you're pretty sure to enjoy this - FUNDED
You've probably all heard about Star Citizen (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/cig/star-citizen?ref=live). I'm sure it's going to be awesome, but I'm still more interested in classic adventure games at the moment. Then again, I'm not aware of any classic adventure game that has been able to raise 29 million dollars through the crowd! 8-0 Million!
Sprite Lamp looks awesome! I've often wondered how you could implement clean per pixel dynamic lighting and this guy has the easy answer.
Well, i wouldn't call drawing 4 lightmaps for each frame easy :=
Lovely results though!

Sprite Lamp looks awesome!
Really does! That's something I'd actually back; it really looks amazing.
Were we supposed to post only adventure game related kickstarters (since the thread is in the adventure related forum)? Would be nice to gather specifically all the interesting AG ones in one thread :)
Just cool games I think. Sprite Lamp looks amazing.
Just remembered one that looks very cool and is an adventure game - it's on IndieGoGo. Well okay it's sort of an adventure game. It describes itself as "A sci-fi noir, a mystery, a first person puzzle game", but it looks like it has a lot in common with first-person advenure games.
Anyway it does look extremely cool. 8-)

Then someone can move this thread to the general forum and I can create an adventure game specific kickstarter thread here in adventure talk :-D

It sure does.
Lots of cool games of all kinds are finding their way to Kickstarter and IndieGoGo. I'm very happy to see so many people realizing their dreams.

Personally, I'd post any cool games here. I thought, adventure games would naturally dominate the thread anyway, considering the tastes of the forum audience. And to me there's no real disadvantage to posting some non-adventure games along with them. But whether you make a separate thread or not is of course entirely your choice.

Me too.

Wow, that looks incredible and something I'd gladly pay a lot of money to use. Thanks for sharing. :)

It really does amaze. Love the music in the video.
For those who hasn't yet, help funding this awesome project: Jason the Greek (http://jasonthegreek.com/) (by Kristian Fosh)
Interview from AdventureX with the maker will be published today.
Thanx neon, curious to see that one.
Great you have recorded a lot of AdvX stuff :)
Here it is:

Nice!
Updates:
For those interested in The Slaughter, that's now passed its funding goal.
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/510736733/the-slaughter
Jason the Greek is almost 80% there but less than 3 days remain:
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/677106949/jason-the-greek-pointnclick-adventures-in-ancient
Sadly, Her Majesty's Spiffing isn't doing too well. Less than 25% of their funding goal so far with 4 days to go. They do have a much bigger funding target though.

Jason the Greek (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/677106949/jason-the-greek-pointnclick-adventures-in-ancient) needs a little more love. It looks like such and awesome game. If you like it, please back it. There's just over 2 days and 2,000 pounds to go. It can be done!
As much as I love the Jason the Greek graphic style and animations, the demo is terribly buggy and not really fun to play. Before I played the demo I wanted to back it, but now I don't think I will.
I'm in the testteam now and will make sure this game will be as bug-free as possible.
EDIT:
New version (http://jasonthegreek.com/DEMO/JTG.zip) of the demo is available on jasonthegreek.com.
(And although the demo stated 'BETA', it's actually a very early ALPHA just to show some more then just a movie clip or screenshots :)

NO BUG SHALL PASS!
Exactly CaptainD, exactly.
These damn bugs will feel the wrath of the tester!
Jason the Greek has been funded :)
This one looks great. Been looking for something like this for
years.
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/274930865/tabletop-simulator
QuoteTabletop Simulator is an online tabletop sandbox game with multiplayer physics. The sandbox nature of the game means there are no rules to stop you from playing however you want. Want to pick up and throw someone's piece, go for it, but they might not ask you back to play. This freedom allows near limitless gaming possibilities; with a deck of cards alone you can play hundreds of games. In Tabletop Simulator we supply you the tools, so you have the freedom to play anything. Play a game of chess one minute, and with one click continue your epic role-playing adventure!

human resources looks interesting! Very! 8-) :-D
This RPG looks amazing and has a demo.

Looks like HM Spiffing (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/billygoat/hm-spiffing-a-comedy-3d-space-themed-adventure-gam) has met its goal the second time around (£1,000 past the goal of £30,000 with 29 hours remaining). I played the demo and it shows a lot of promise, definitely one of the better looking 3D point and click adventure games out there.
This one looks very promising:
