Visionaire Studios have just announced through Kickstarter and Steam Greenlight, The Mystery of Oak Island, which is a new point and click adventure game that is inspired by the golden classics of the past. The company behind this game is also the developer of Visionaire Studio 4, which is a powerful tool used for creating incredible adventure games such as Deponia, The Chains of Satinav and other well known greats.

If you guys have a chance, check out 4.0. The main engine has been completely rewritten with major focus on the animation systems and memory systems.
There is also full support for 3D characters (although I haven't had a chance to play with them yet!).
