...website (http://www.amazing-ebooks.co.uk/ezine/), made and hosted by Necro
Looking good! It has that professional appearance that suits the zine very well.
Good job!
Necro did the whole thing.
I know. :) It is the person at whom my praise was directed. ;)
Oh, self-orientated me. How could I be so selfish, HOW?!
excellent read
Great job Necro for the site and Vel for the issues! :)
Why thankyou, ^_^ , Im glad everyone like the page, I know I'll be waiting for the next issue from Vel...
now I wonder if I can get an advanced preview , hehehe
Don´t missunderstand me, but... there is another magazine "A"... Why two? I don´t mean that one of that must disappear, just that... Are there possiblities of a fussion between the two magazines?
I like both of the publications, and it could be very confortable to have the contents in one place, maybe even with two different URL, like an attachment... what do you think?
Are you talking about the inventory or about the AGD zine?
If you are talking about the inventory, it is focused on commercial games, not amateur ones.
If you are talking abou the AGD zine, m0ds closed it because he hadnt updated it for months.
He's talking about Sylpher.com's AGS articles:
www.sylpher.com/a (http://www.sylpher.com/a)
However, I don't find any problems in having more than one such err... things, as long as their contents are worthy enough for viewing.
So... Keep up the good work!
OKay, Ill release the new issue this evening.

Sylpher explains why he doesn't want to merge with AGS Zine here: http://www.agsforums.com/yabb/index.php?board=3;action=display;threadid=7405 and I agree with him.
Besides, why can't there be more than one AGS e-zine? It's not like we're competing for readers. Do other gaming magazines merge just because they have the same reader base or similar content?
Har! I see your point... but with two magazines seems that there is a kind of competition. That´s why both magazines collaborating sharing articles, information and linking they each other should be more suitable for me. :)
Heh That's okay.
In my opinion, since they're not doing these things for money or attentions, it's actually possible that they are not in competition.
Moreover, A and ezine are organized by different persons, if they join force and merge together, sometimes it is difficult to keep the updates consistant without firm cooperation. On the other hand, managing one's own project provides more freedom, that they can do things more closely to what they want.
So we can just leave them as separate projects, and I know that there'll be probably some features specific to each of them.
Oh! Sure... If they´re non-official magazines, it´s easily understanding that they go separated...
But I think that one of that magazines is going to become official some day. I hope that when that day arrive "magaziners" will work together for the benefit of the whole community.
WOW, how nice post!
...which needs editing...
Vel, nothing needs edited; this F4rl4nd3r-sp33k, the newest and most fashionable trend with Polish and Spanish AGSers! :D
Wow, my writing was very smart.
P.S. Vel persuaded?
I don't appreciate the harsh comments at the end of the 2nd Ezine.
I told you that I was unable to play the games because AGS games run too dark for me to play. I could not read the speech, nor see the player character.
I did everything in my control to get the preview of FOY.. But m0ds sent it to you for more convienience..
I'm sorry that this was such a problem to you, but I had explained to you earlier my inability to.. And I would ask that you make a formal apology in the next issue. For now, I shall boycott the Ezine until you do so.
Thank you
OMG, LGM is doing a boycott!!! What shall I do?
Anyway, LGM, the day that m0ds sent me the FoY stuff was the day the second issue was released and the day before I departed. And, it is your fault you didnt do these reviews, not mine. The thing I am guilty for is being so unprofessional and announce it publicly.
I wasn't blaming you for anything.. I was just saying I was physically incapable of doing the reviews. But you blatantly made an ass out of yourself and I aswell.
All I was asking for was a mature apology.
I only wanted to help edit the mag anyways. Because obviously grammar and spelling aren't your strong suits.
Anyways.. 'A' is a much better zine.. I'll think I'll stick to it.
I say good day to you, sir.
And a good day to you humble sir.
Anyway, Im seeing something very bad happening: "a" and the AGS ezine competing with each other. I do not want to compete with them, nor do they want to compete with me. Just accept and read both.
I was gonna read the ezine..But after being knocked down by the rude comment.. I decided it's not worth my time..
Anyways, I'm done now..
Good thing you're done, because I'm laughing myself to death here.
Phew.
Yeah. Special thanks to Farlander goes here.
Heh.. I know I was kinda being uptight.. I just don't like it when people point fingers at me.
It was just a misunderstanding on both ends and I overreacted.
So, I apologize.
Appology accepted LGM. I was just pissed off about you not writing the articles. But nevermind.
Okay.. No harm done, then.
Are we cool now, then?
Count yourself lucky. At least you didn't get mistaken for a red headed woman. :o

;D ;D ;D Yes... sometimes my English becomes worse... Sometimes I wake up with a nice Liverpoolian accent, somedays I have an strange polish accent, and I can´t pronounce the "S" propperly...
There is a lot of Mittens In-jokes we haven´t told to you...
Is there any possibilities to spot naked girls????
"Is there any possibilities"
Lol
It is not just the using of "any" with a plural... You must also notice the "spolish" accent...
"Is Derr Anee posibilitees 2 C Nei-Ket Girlszh?"

Vel, stop this right now. It is NOT COOL to make fun of other people's English. How well can you speak Spanish, I wonder?
Chris, I think Farlander said that on purpose.I am not making fun of him. I just think that he is really cool allowing me to release the ezine with all his mistakes just for fun. And, I cant speak a word of spanish(but I do speak Russian:)).
PS. Why dont you say something about the ezine?
!! :o !!
I said "Is there any possibilities" wrong the first time I said it, at Sweden.
I realised inmediatly that it was a mistake... But Goldmund and Helm seemed to be glad about my mistake, so... the sentence became an in-joke.
So... I am not worried about that "lots of laughs" that Vel made by me... But I remember that Vel said that one of my posts needed editing. I know Vel, and he is very kind with me, but that was not fun, sorry Vel.
Please, try to understand that there are people who is not very well with lenguajes... It can even not be their fault, for example, my country has the worse non-native lenguaje education system in the World.
BTW... I don´t want to start threads agreeing with me and mentioning how unpolite Vel has been, never. I consider he my friend and I think that this "little missunderstood" has finished.
;)
No offense for anybody, please.
P.S. Thanks Chris.
Farl, I think that only the most soared persons can make fun of themselves. Thats why I think that your report is cool.
Thank you Vel...
Notice that I´ve said that I was sure that your intention was good... But that´s the problem with the forums, even using emoticons you can´t be really sure of the intentions of the words.
Add something to the report:
Only three mitteners had a (1) shower in that 5 days!!! ::)
That are really surprising news!
Not really sure why but I felt the need to poke my opinion in here. As it has been said before Two zines can and will live together..this hasn't been a problem so far and I don't see how it is any sort of issue so I'm not gonna discuss it any further.
As of right now I do agree that 'A' and AGS ezine are very similar. Keep in mind that is for now. As I am sure Vel will agree keeping up on everything: writing, editing, updating, uploading, preparing for the next update is quite a bit of responsability and for now I think we are both just adjusting. I have many plans for features and things to add to 'A' that just aren't right for now or I am saving up when I have more time and can better execute them.
I am sure the same is for the AGS ezine...
I can't say I didn't expect this but really it isn't a big deal at all. Give it time. I can already see differences in both zines as far as writing and general plans for the future go...and both are heading positive so I think both will do well and live well together.
The real issue comes down to you..the readers. If you enjoy AGS ezine more then 'A' read that. Vice versa then the same. If you like both read both. 'A' is updated bi-weekly and AGS ezine every few weeks. It isn't exactly a flood of AGS information. things are coming in at a pace I think everyone can keep up without too much diffculty.
And LGM...ever start a 'A' is Better then ____ zine between me and anyone again. I won't appretiate it...and you will know it. I am sure you were just trying to get back at Vel for his comments but don't drag me into it..
Now everyone Chill the hell out and enjoy the news!

Walter: Today, Helm was found half naked in a barn shouting "VIVA LA QUESRICO!!" We aren't sure what this means as our spanish is limited to 'LA' but I asure you our top men are on it.

Hey guys,
Just wanted to say I thoroughly enjoyed the latest AGS ezine (especially the FOY pics) and I have a quick question.
Maybe it's presumptious of me, but I was wondering if the next ezine could have a review of Apprentice...

I am Spanish... I don´t have any idea of what does Quesrico mean. ???
Sylpher, actually my main argument agains it is that such e-zines tend to wither and die after a not-too-long period. I think that one "uber" e-zine will not just live long but also be of higher quality then several ones.
Hell, maybe it's just me and Nacho....
Well, anyway, nice work the two of you.
I prefer a website :)
you don't have to download anything, which is a pre, which comes to my next point...
why the heck are the pdf's zipped...? It takes away the whole functionality :P
unzip them damnit! :), now you still have to download em.
Anyway, I never feel like reading so many text... so I mostly look at the pictures :P
Sorry Sylpher. I wasn't trying to start anything.. I was just pissed off at the moment..
Won't happen again!! :)
I think it's good that there are two ezines. Apart from anything else, with a potential reader base of 1110 (note the very loose use of the word potential), and the vast variety of things that now go on in the ags world, neither 'zine need never run out of material nor readers.
And of course, competition is always better than a monopoly for consumers, even if here we have no real competition, or consumers, or in fact an economic system of any kind... MY POINT STILL HOLDS DAMMIT! :P
umm... big bro, the new ags ezine is released
Hi Vel,
Yea, I know the new ezine has been released. I was talking about maybe for the next issue of it. (If there is going to be a next issue?)
Thanks
Ian
That's the point: there IS an Apprentice review in the latest ezine
Yeah, I admit it...I made up 'Quesrico'. Let's just say it means something big and burely just to be fun!
Again I stand by only time will tell...we will just have to see what happends.
Lgm: Peace...

/me waves around
what do you think?
As the functionality of PDF lies in being a platform-free document, they haven't lost their function. True, you need an unzipper to view it now, but there are few alternative OS'es out there who yelp in frustration at the sight of one.
Even BeOS can read the E-Zine's perfectly well.
And I kinda like it that they're zipped, personally. I hate it when I'm browsing in Windows and click on a PDF document, to find it's opening it directly in Acrobat. Slows the whole system down. :)
Hey guys,
Sorry about that. Didn't see that there was a new ezine up. Good stuff!
85%!
This is good, no?
