I've been thinking about this a lot lately and wouldn't it be cool if someone made a Time Bandits adventure game? I know there is an old game called Time Bandit, but that doesn't have much to do with Terry Gilliam's film. I was thinking that the story could be what they were going to use for Time Bandits 2 which was never made. The story for the unmade Time Bandits 2, by the way, is that God is going to destroy the world so the Bandits decide to stop him - not to save the world but to save their jobs....
Midgets! ;D
Hmmm... It's not a bad idea. As long as I'm not the one making the game. :)
that would make an awesome yet complicated game.would the little boy be in it? would he still be suicidaly depressed over the death of his parents? man, god was a jerk in that movie.
I need to see that movie!
I only managed to catch the end of it on TV once...
Anyway. Yes, it would be cool.
Dude, if there's one movie that deserves to be turned into a game, it's Labyrinth. But since I'm already doing it, if there's one movie that deserves to be turned into a game that I haven't already decided to turn into a game, it's Time Bandits. One of my favorite movies ever. I would totally play it.
I sort of get the feeling Labyrinth was turned into a game years ago, but I'm not positive.
There was a Labyrinth game by LucasArts. Not an adventure, mind.
Actually, "Labyrinth" was an adventure game, and falls into my 'best-loved' category. The first few scenes were Infocom-style text adventure, which opened out into a full-on pre-Zak style graphic adventure with verb lists etc.
Time Bandits was a great movie!! It would also be a great Adventure Game.
I loved the part when they were sailing on that ship, but it turned out to be the hat of a giant.

Actually, mine (and Sylpher's) version is somewhat of a remake of that game, which is definately one of my favorites. There'll be more of a story than just "You are in my thrall now. Try and escape." but a lot of the elements from the original adventure game (such as the commands) will definately be there.

So long as you can still adumbrate the elephant, I'll be happy.

Of course! You will also be able to try and give a manicure to Jareth and rub your face into the tv dinner.
