Post by: xlard on Fri 25/06/2004 03:31:54
Hi, this might be the wrong place to post.. I apologise in advance if it is.
Just wondering where i can get a copy of Uncertainty Machine, the website says it's not available for download.
Any idea why? I heard rave reviews abt the game & I'm really dying to play it..

I don't know any site where you can get it at, but I might as well say that I actually found a copy recently in a Freeware Games Pack (which I had to buy >:(, though only for $2), and it pretty much got a glowing review in the little booklet that came with it.

You can find it at the Home of the Underdogs (http://www.the-underdogs.org). Just search for it under the adventures section. It's really worth playing, one of the best AGS games, IMO.

Ultimo: They called it "Freeware" games pack, and yet you still had to pay for it? Isn't that an oxymoron? :P. Though I guess you were paying for stuff like the actual package and booklet that came with it, but still.

I'm impressed they made a booklet. Shows it's not all about cramming other people's free software on a disk and earning a buck.

Yeah, it's like one of those PC World minibook magazine thingys...

It's supposed to cost $14.95, but I know the owner of the newsagent that had it so I got it greatly reduced. Quite a ripoff for a small 80 page booklet with "free" games. :-\
