I've started a project using Adventure Game Studio called "Shall We Make A Game?" It's a community that offers people the ability to make video games without any technical knowledge. The premise is simple: Users collaborate and submit ideas in the forums. The best ones are voted on and then everyone helps turn them into real content. I import the assets, do all the scripting, and handle all the grunt work while the community focuses on producing pure content: characters, story, setting, etc.

In effect, I'm trying to distill the fun aspects of game development out from the drudgery in hopes of attracting new creativity. That doesn't mean it's just for amateurs, though! Anyone can join. It's totally open to the public and if you have a good idea, it WILL go in the game. Period.

Whether you're new to game development, or a veteran who needs to blow off steam, I suggest you check it out.

Sounds interesting, but this isn't the right place, since it's not a game in production. Read the forum rules.

I especially like your attitude- offering to take care of quite some important bits of work to really make this a collaborative effort. Maybe GenGen is the best place?

This is a great idea for a bunch of people to collab.. I hope you can get this rolling and it stays strong...
