Stumbling on the Internet I found this interactive flash animation (http://www.biomotionlab.ca/Demos/BMLwalker.html). It's a walking cycle with a rather abstract set of points (which you can connect with lines). The data is motion captured from real people.
The fun thing here is that you can switch between male or female, heavy or light, nervous or relaxed, and happy or sad. You can even rotate the figure so you can see all directions.
I though it was interesting for animators or would-be animators around here, so there you go.
Interesting the way you can make the..erm...dots...hermaphrodites. Yes. ::)
But who has that many frames lying around? I don't. I need a walkcycle that will show me how it's done in 5-10 frames. ;)
Already been posted (http://www.bigbluecup.com/yabb/index.php?topic=23066.0)
That thread ALSO features me pointing out it's already been posted - sorry - although the earlier link doesn't work anymore. Still a useful resource, just not new :-\
I made a (really) quick search to see if it was already posted. At least it has a different title so it can be searchable :-)
