I am (almost) done making a fantasy game called "The Forest". I am soon going to begin with the sequel but I was wondering what type of art I should use with the sequel/deluxe version of the game? I had a FOA or DOTT style in mind, but what do you think?
Use your style. It's really the best way you can go.
my style sucks though :/
So don't do anything,
or post an announcement in that (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?topic=26161.0) thread.
What makes you think you can emulate these two wonderful styles?
If your style sucks, do you really think you can do these two styles justice?
He can - if he rips sprites.
Otherwise, he simply can't.
Improve your style. Whether you continue with what you've done up to now is entirely up in the air - but you do have to improve. You obviously realise this, otherwise you wouldn't have said your style sucks.
I think if yodaman1111 puts some time into it he can emulate or make any style he wants to.
The problem being that he probably suffers from the same thing i sufer from ADD cant really focus on anything to long then my mind wanders a bit and i have to go do something else to regain focus...
IMO he should look at the styles DOTT being the more appropriate one if he really wants to immulate cause thats based on cartoons where FOA is based on a more realistic look!
MUCH HARDER!
However dont say your doing a DOTT style casue if you dont get it right ppl will crit where ass you can make a nice cartoon style of your own...
well the sprite that i did for the most recent sprite jam is probably what style i'm going to use for my game. do you think i should use that afflict?
Does it differ much from your other the forest game?
