Hi, I'm gravyflood, long-time adventure game player, first-time adventure game author.  I have a few questions:
1) Where can I find the DOS version of AGS?  I mean the pre-AGS 2 version.
2) Where can I find resources ripped from commercial games?
3) How can I rip resources from commercial games?
4) What are the guidelines for making a RON game?
Thanks in advance for your help!

1.) I dont know if it is still out anymore... Maybe
2.) Google it, all depends on what you want
3.) Print screen

Okay.  A request for anyone who has AGS DOS...could you ZIP and email it to me?  If anyone's willing to do this, please message me.

While I'm at it, I might as well ask something else.  Does anyone know where I can download Secret of Monkey Island or LeChuck's Revenge?  I've been looking for them for a while but I still can't find them!  If nobody knows where to find either one, could you maybe zip and mail them?  Again, message me if you're willing and able to help out.  Thanks!

Ah, sorry.  I don't know what's abandonware and what's not.  ^_^;

GTA III is abandonware. Go and ask for it on the FBI web site.

I have the newest version of Roomedit I think, but its on my old computer without internet. Sorry. :-\
Also buy all three (or four if your a fanatic) Monkey Island games, don't make the same mistake I did  :P

Yes, you can rip art from games. There is a better way then print screen :)

But this depends on what game. For instance, if you want MI 1 graphics just do a search on Google for "Monkey Island ripper". If you want a Space Quest I remake ripper, do a search. I *think* some will rip all seirra graphics from a certian point or time peroid. Correct me if I'm mistaken. A lot of people make those types of things, I don't know too much about it myself, but they're probably easy to find. Good luck with AGS.

Mr Jake

for lucas arts games search for scumm rev

1. WHY??? Search the forum for that question. I know someone uploaded that somewhere long ago, but, I don't remember who and how long ago. Why not use the current version? It works just fine, and has more features. Doesn't Chris have DOS versions of 2.4 or  something?

This should solve 2 & 3:

4. Read the website like Evil said. It tells you anything you need to know. If you have specific questions email or post there and ask (I'm pretty sure they have a forum).

good luck,
