Hello everyone, I have lots of photos and other nice things for you... you see over the new year a bunch of us stayed at AGA's house, we called this Wintermeet!
Perhaps I should explain how it all happened first, for those that haven't heard, I believe it went something like this.
Hajo sadly had to miss Mittens, and to partially make up for it he decided to come to Wales, he asked AGA if he could stay with him, and me if I'd come and hang out with them and play CS and such, and of course we said yes.Ã, When our CS playing friends (Esseb, Helm, DarkStalkey and Custard) found out about this they wanted to come too, we were now expecting a weekend of mainly sitting indoors shooting each other.
We did mention it to other people though, and before we knew it twice as many people wanted to come. AGA's house is big, but it isn't big enough to fit many more people than that in it (you'll see at Brittens). So unfortunately to prevent more people asking to come, and having to turn them away... it was decided we wouldn't post publically about it until after it happened.. it's been over a month now though, so I asked the others if they were ok with me posting their photos and here we are.
Welcome to Wintermeet!
The attendees were AGA, Andail, Becky, Chrille, CJ, custard, Adam, Dominika, Esseb, Fuzzpilz, Goldmund, Grundislav, Hajo, Helm, scotch

We went on an expedition up the mountain!

At the top the weather started to get colder and it began to snow.Ã, For a time we thought we'd lost Chrille.

We found this fellow next to his downed space-pod, and adopted him, he is called Spooblehat.

The more exciting people decided they weren't going to stay home and make games on new years eve, so they went to a club.

Smoking made Goldmund cool.

As you would expect, CJ is good at Dance Dance Revolution.
We started a game, which will probably never get finished ;) We played Wetrix and CS and Lego Star Wars, we watched stuff from Esseb's Asian movie collection, and Myth Busters, we saw the beta of BJ5, and more stuff from Donna (I need to play that game), we drank glue wine (http://www.grundislavgames.com/wintermeet/cookingshow.wmv) and Tesco bitter, you know, we did so many things, I can't post all the photos (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/wintermeet/), so take a look at them for yourselves, I'll add some more if I get them.
Here are some moving pictures! Not many, Grund's camera ran out of batteries.
Grund filmed this excellent avant garde piece: http://www.grundislavgames.com/wintermeet/meltthelimit.wmv
and starred alongside CJ in this excellent sit com: http://www.grundislavgames.com/wintermeet/misunderstandings.wmv
As usual for AGS meetings now, we played 1000 Blank White Cards, thanks to Esseb for scanning them! http://americangirlscouts.org/wintermeet/1kbwc/
It was a really great few days, and it was cool to meet the people I'd not met before, like Fuzz and Esseb and Becky.
Wintermeet people, fill them in on the stuff I forgot!
I want to apologize to all the welsh if they're missing their goats.
They're only interested in the sheep
We also watched The Flash, which was terrible! Also, a little Welsh girl shouted insults at Goldmund after he shouted at her in Polish. Such rude children in that vile land.
There was an old man in Cardiff that told us to be cheerful because it was a happy day.

Wow man, you must own an airline or something.
Holy crap.
This is what I get for not playing CS.
...
It sucks anyways.

Nah, I went on vacation to Europe with some friends over the holidays, and it happened to coincide with Wintermeet.Ã, I certainly wouldn't have spent money to just fly to Wales!

Hear Hear, I suddenly feel like such an unwanted leper :'(
;)
There were 15 people there and I had to sleep on the wooden floor :P There were of course lots of people we wanted to ask to come, but it really wasn't feasible by then... if as many people go to Brittens as last year we'll need to have tents in the back garden, should be ok, in summer.
Was it just me or was it true that the post pictures implied you're all BORED?

Who the hell drew Joe the Stool smiling?!?! >:( That's against the Joe rules.
*crosses his arms to puctuate his anger*
Oh, eventhough I didn't go to wintermeet, I still had some fun:

I'd like to thank Hotspot for the inspiration.
For a minute there, I thought this was a gathering of Wintermute users.
Yes, we decided to use that name just so we can preempt them if they ever have a gathering. This was a running joke during the meet.

I didn't realize you were the king of all of everything!!
That's my way of telling you to shut your typehole! Joe can smile if he wants to!
I wanted to go to Wintermeet, but I was not able to pay $700+ just to hang out with some HIP DUDES. Besides, I can see sheep and smelly people here.
Why wasn't I invited to the Anti-Buloguht League meet Wintermeet? :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

So I should feel sorry for you????
;D
AGA has plenty of time to build an extension before Brittens, so I don't think tents should be an issue...

Because I don't like you.
Oh, that's OK then
Don't listen to AGA, it's because you have too many of those little squirmy things that come from groins...what the hell are they... Oh yeah, GENITAL WARTS.
Otherwise, he secretly likes you.
We accidentally discovered wintermeet when I saw the photos url in Grundy' s favourites webpages. We explained the stuff, a little embarrased because of the "secretism" of the meeting. It didn't mind at all, it was in Xmas and I shouldn't be able to attend anyway. I understand that the meeting was that private. I am happy that now it's public because we loved some of the videos (Can we find an amicable sollution?) Please Grundy, post the video!
EDIT: It's in scotch's post! :D Cool!
There's more videos and pictures here: http://www.grundislavgames.com/wintermeet/.
Scotch was just too lazy to link to them all. Enjoy the sheer genius that is Berian's Zoom video.

Either that, or they have been smoking too much of the hippy lettuce.

Why would anyone smoke organic lettuce?
Don't ask me.
Hi guys!

Yeah, yeah, the "Wintermute Army" (which also became a running joke in our community since this term was invented here) is watching you! 8)
Anyway - I hope you enjoyed it. ;)
(darn, how did you only find out that codename... hmmm... ;))
Looks like you all had a good time..
it was in Wales huh? cardiff? :) cool, I had moved to Barry :o.
but moved back to Norway around christmas....
Hello folks, as some of you know there's a second Wintermeet planned to happen at my house, around new year's eve. It'll be from the 27th of December until 4th/5th of January in Hannover (Germany).
Just like last year, someone asked some friends if they'd want to come visit, they said yes so there we go. :)
Is it gonna be secret this year as well? Or are we gonna tell people? Like on the forum?
That sounds pretty cool, and Germany is nearby :)
