Title: Writing the perfect AGS game ???
Post by: SinSin on Fri 04/05/2007 13:24:38
So here I am at my workstation, ideas pinned to the walls, spider diagrams everywhere relating to various things (puzzles, charaters and cheeky dialogue) and then Wham... it hits me for the third time in a week the dreaded block. I figured that of all the games that are made here, Writers block must be the one thing that each team experiences, Whether it is the one man teams or the 8 or 9 person strong ones.
So it has come to me to start this thread.
What is the perfect way that you use to create a fully enjoyable game. What methods do you use, what do you do to get away from it all. coz i'm struggling to get stuff done and i thought i'd try and get some light shed on other things i could be doing before i loose interest AGAIN lol

Breaking it up in manageable chunks tends to help. Also, chocolate.

Make something you really can enjoy. If you begin to lose interest, change it so it sets your imagination on fire again. Don't do anything prematurely, though. As a rule of thumb: If you want your wallpaper to show your game, everything's ok.
