Whizzz: Part One - Take Off (New Screenies and Update)

Not too far away from the Milky Way lies the Galaxy of Alliance (GOA), Humans don't know about it's existence as it lies behind a blackhole making it invisible from Earth. The Galaxy of Alliance is made up of numerous small planets and is inhabited by three alien races, all of whom live peacefully together.

The alien races all know about the Human Race on Earth, but they fear them and the Government of GOA has banned contact with Humans due to them being a volatile race, who would be more likely to make war rather than live in peace.

Even though the aliens fear the Humans they still love Planet Earth and it's enormous natural beauty and culture. So much so that they have a dedicated group of "Discoverers" who roam the universe and visit Earth without Humans knowing to take items for scientific purposes, although on occasions they do get noticed with the odd spacecraft sighting or markings left in crop fields.

Being a Discoverer isn't an easy job as a evil alien race called The Gorgits
exist who roam the Galaxies lead by their leader, Plage. A Discoverer
would never want to come across a Gorgit, as they are a ruthless species
who want to claim the newly found planets and galaxies for themselves,
But especially want to know where Earth lies.

Whizzz (Playable Character)



A lovable alien who dreams of becoming a Discoverer, who wants to explore the Universe and most of all visit Earth which he has heard so much about. He travels around on his little Jet Propelled Hovercraft

The Game will start off with Whizz visiting the Planet Nakineesta as it is where the Headquarters are located of the Society of Discovery, help Whizzz to become a Discoverer by:

1. Getting the license that allows him to be a Discoverer and the pass to allow him to go through the Travel Tunnels to jump between Galaxies. Without it, it takes years to get anywhere. But getting it isn't easy, they don't hand these out the anyone who walks in off the street

2. Getting that all important spacecraft. Without it he's not going to get very far.
3. Getting an all important Map of the Known Universe

This is my first ever Game and have taken to AGS like a duck to water in the 3 months i have been using it. I am hoping to release this by some time in October.

Update : 2nd August

I have now finished a complete GUI, Intro is complete. 5 out of 12 backgrounds are complete, All characters designed (only 2 fully animated though), Story is complete, All inventory items complete. 

Update : 16th August

Now completed 10 backgrounds out of 12, written some music to go with it and managed 8 tracks totalling 22 minutes worth of original music. Made the music as fun as I could to match the graphics. Just got to do my outro, animate all the non playable characters and do alot of scripting now. Game is still due for release around beginning of october and heres a new screenie to keep you all interested.

Thanks and yes Part One will be based upon being a discoverer, but I have a rough plot outline for a Part Two and will be making it if the game gets some good feedback. I just had so many ideas and thought it would be better if I split them up and get a medium lengthed game out rather than an absolutely huge game that would take me ages to do (maybe years).
