Azunites Tale
An experiment to create an RPG with AGS. It contains most features any good RPG should have: Experience, fighting, leveling, Main Quests/Sub Quests, shopping and adventuring.
125 years ago, The elders of Azunai forged a legendary sword in the heart of the Azunite city, Archeron. The sword's power was so prevailing that the sword itself had supplicated its user. The responsibilty of this weapon was too much for it's owner, so one night while he slept, the Azunite elders infiltrated his castle and aquired back the sword which had driven him mad.
Ã, Ã, Ã, The weapon was undestroyable, and had to be removed from the ravenous warriors who sought after it. The Azunites decided to have it sealed in a stone monument which could not be opened without the possession of the 4 crystals of the Azunai. The 4 crystals were enthrusted to the 4 most faithful elders, and the sword was never seen again by human eyes. Today, all of the elders are long dead, and the locations of the crystals are unknown. But there are various rumors of their wereabouts.
Ã, Ã, Ã, But now another legendary weapon has been forged. This weapon has been inforged by destructive demonic powers. The magic in this sword is specifically designed to bring death to all living things. It is rumored that the only human to match the blade's powers is the wielder of the Sword of the Azunite.
Ã, Ã, Ã, This lost artifact needs to be recovered before the world is decieved by the demonic powers of the enemy. All four crystals of the Azunai need to be recovered, and the location of the Azunites Shrine needs to be uncovered. Before all hope is lost...

Well I cannot say for sure, i'm working on this game independantly so it could be a few months. I would like to make several hours of gameplay in it. Perhaps you should check out my other game i just released. It's called Hotel Hell. You can find it under short games or on my website: http://infernal-softworks.wetpaint.com/
Ã, Ã, I had actually made hotel hell over a year ago, but i didn't have the internet on, so i wasn't able to upload it until about three days ago. If you do play it, be sure to comment!Ã, ;)
Looks awesome!Ã, ;D Can't wait to play it!
I also checked out your other game, Hotel Hell. I enjoyed it, and i recommend it to everyone. Very good for a first try, its a shame you didn't continue it!
btw, what type of battle system do you have in Azunite's tale?
This is great! I want it on my gameboy! :D

Its turn based combat. I'd like to make freestyle combat, but i'm not so sure how. If anyone knows, please let me know!
Thanks everyone for your comments, I appreciate it! :)
Looks a bit like Rpg Maker XP Ã, ;)
Well, I wish you good luck with this and look forward to playing upon completion! Ã, :)

In fact, I downloaded Rpg Maker XP, and for some reason it wouldnt workÃ, :(. So i've decided i'd make a Rpg game on AGS. I got some resources from them btw. So thats why it would look like an RPG maker XP game.
Thanks for commentingÃ, ;)

Wow, this is looking really great! I am impressed! Good luck on getting it done and welcome back to the community! Carry on, mate!!!
This looks like my type of game! Very Zelda/Pokémon style, can't wait!
Cool.. its kinda the sort of game i want to make, but i dont know enought about the scripting side of things yet. Ill definetly give this one a show tho. Nice work :)
Thanks everyone for commenting! Your support makes it all worth while. :)
This looks great!!! I will definetly try it when you release it.
Good luck!
It looks wery proffesional, just like an old commersial RPG. I,ll make sure to play this when it,s released. Oh, by the way, I love that last screenshoot with the landscape made of flesh and tissue. Wonderfully bizarre! :D. Good luck with this game. ;)
It reminds me a bit of the GBA game Golden Sun...
It looks like Harvest moon/Zelda to me. Any hint as to when you will finish the game?

This was posted a few months ago; so is there any progress?
Are these graphics original or ripped? This game looks pretty good! Looking forward to playing it.
AmongTheFallen menstioned he used some resources from RPG maker. :)
BEAUTIFUL! :D
You've caught the old "RPG" style quite nicely and brought a great batch of new detail to it. All we can see here looks bloody wonderful, and if the game is as fluid and beautiful as its graphics: you have a good game in your hands!
But dont forget: these games rely heavily on dialogue and story, if you dont have any new and smashing style to do this, put some extra thought in the dialogue and storyline (you probably have already, but just saying...)
OH MY GOD!!!
Looks awesome!!!!
Cant wait!!!
Er... all the graphics are really obvious rips.
You can like the game idea if you want, but don't compliment the man for his graphics--he didn't make them.
Of course, the RTP pack for RPG-Maker is commonly used, so I'm not complaining about their use, but it just seems ridiculous when more than half the comments are complimenting something not being done by the game creator.
As someone who has used the RPG-Maker program, I look forward to how you integrate RPG elements through AGS, but not so much towards seeing the same old graphics again.
thanks everybody for your comments, im sorry i havnt been posting here for a long time. I have some bad news... but also some good news!
Ill start off with the bad news.. i kinda abandoned it, because i am making a MMORPG version of it (this is the good news!!)
It has the same style graphics (except im using less resources from rpgmaker, im using most of my own). The game is sooo close to being released for testing (not finished of cause, just alpha testing of what i've got so far.
Here is the link to the website, I'll be updating the website frequently so i keep you all in touch.
