Sorry, couldn't resist the opportunity for that title.
Anyhoo, Case 3 is actually called "The Sorceress of Smailholm."
Ben is summoned to the tiny Scottish village of Smailholm to investigate the brutal murder of two children.Ã, Their bodies were found in the woods with odd markings on them, leading the locals to listen to superstition and blame witches.Ã, A girl has been accused and put in the town jail, but she seems innocent. Ben must not only figure out what is going on and solve the murders, but also deal with:
- An obnoxious rival who seems to be shadowing his every move.
- The loomng specter of cannibalistic witches.
- A potential love interest (!)
- The dreary Scottish weather.
I'm chugging along nicely, but I'm not going to commit myself to a release date, since I never stick to them, so I'll just say it'll be out "soon."

What game about witches would be complete without a spooky tree?
Excellent! Another Ben Jordan case!!
If you had released this without a spooky tree I would have been very disappointed!
Looking forward to it!
Yes!!!!! I loved the first two cases, Grundislav! This is great, I was hoping Ben Jordan would be back for a third case. Any word on how long it'll be yet?
Not for certain, but I'll be cryptic and say it'll be "substantially longer than the first two."
Having enjoyed the previous two, I will be sure to heckle you until this one is finished ;)
Finally! Excellent! Can't wait...
Looks great, can't wait!
Yes, I'm really looking forward to this one, and it sounds and looks really nice. One thing though... what if Ben wears something else than green pants and white shirt in this episode? He has always had the same clothes... is his wardrobe full of similar clothes? Is he so low on cash that he can't afford new clothes? Or is Grundislav just being lazy (no, I don't think so...)? Do we ever find out the truth?
Anyways, keep up the fine work!
Isn't it the cliche detective thing to wear the same thing though? :)
I personally didn't care when Gabriel Knight ended up wearing the exact same white shirt and blu jeans every single day. If Ben Jordan needs to change clothes, I'm sure he will.
A love interest?
But he's only 12 years old!

Nah, he's based on Grundislav himself, and Grundislav is only about 5'6" tall :P

I hate to say it, but yes I am being lazy.Ã, Not to worry, though. I had the same thought, and Ben will change clothes after this case
Spoiler
(after what he goes through, he'll have to).

Hey, I resemble that remark! Short people rock, okay? Anyway that character is supposed to be very tall.Ã, And AGA, I wouldn't talk, since you're only like half an inch taller.Ã, :P

Your THAT Short?! heh heh
Ben Jordan Series has been most amazing fun so far but any evil Cracks about Scotland.....
At Mittens, I was never able to find Grundislav or Dave Gilbert. I think Dark Stalkey and Scumbuddy would agree with me, and I believe Dark Stalkey ran into Dave Gilbert many times, 'cause he didn't see him.*
*These are all lies, but they're entertaining lies. And in the end, isn't that the real truth? The answer is no.

That would be the detective who features in a series that ridiculously SHOWS YOU THE MURDER AT THE BEGINNING OF THE EPISODE, just to completely wreck any point of watching the damn thing, right?
The whole point of Columbo is to watch Peter Falk make the murderer squirm with innuendos and subtle hints that he knows the guy is guilty.
Columbo "Can I ask you another question?"
Murderer "No..I've already given you enough to hang me with, you sawed off squinty little man."
Oh - just one more thing...

Yes? (Did I miss something here?...)
Progress is still...progressing. I'm shooting for a late September/early October release.
FYI, an abridged copy of The Paranormal Investigator's Handbook by Professor Q. Sanbourne will be included with each copy of Case 3.

Great! The first two cases were pretty nice, and this looks like as if it will be better than each of them ^_^
Keep up the good work!
I played two first game and I certainly looking forward to completion of third game.

So what excactly is the Paranormal Investigator's Handbook?
It's the, uh... Handbook for... Paranormal Investigators.
It's a UFO detector.
The Paranormal Investigator's Handbook is the publication that Ben Jordan ordered which started him off on his career.
It's also the game's documentation, and will provide background information on the paranormal phenomenon you're investigating, as well as offer some subtle clues.
I am looking forward to this game and BAD! ;D
Some more promotional material, here's a little audio trailer. Voices by netmonkey, music by Ghormak.
http://www.agagames.com/grundislav/bj3trailer.mp3
I know that bg music...what is it?
it's music by Ghormak :P
ok...has it been in any games before...i.e., his games?
Yeah, I remember that too.. Somehow reminds me of BASS... I know it's from some game... ???
wasn't this music in the simon the sorcerer 2?
nope... unless ghormak stole it like picasso
If it was stolen, some awesome telepathic extravaganza must have taken place, as I have never played and/or listened to Simon the Sorcerer 2.
I haven't played Simon the Sorcerer, but I know it's in some game... Or am I just imagining? Does Ghormak know anýthing about this?
Or could it be the old "If you put a million monkeys at a million midi keyboards you'll get the music from Simon the Sorcerer"-theory? Or perhaps the answer involves a magic wardrobe? Actually I thought the piano parts had more of a GK1-like feel to them, but either way it's great music.
Anyway, the first two games were awesome - and that this one is longer makes me even more excited. I hope that the mystery will have more substance as well - a longer game probably won't get away with a Scooby Doo-ending like in BJ1, and in BJ2 the focus was more on getting there than the actual goal. Keep the humor, by all means, but it would be cool if you could get us more involved in the spooky goings-on rather than just using it as an excuse for a series of go-there-fetch-this puzzles.
It sounds and looks awesome. With the exception of Blair Witch, witches are really unmined territory in movies and mystery games. I mean, the King's Quest games always had witches, but they were the fairy tale kind, and "realistic" games involving magic(k) have gone the way of Voodoo and Satanism. I'd love to see your take on it - the setting does bring Macbeth to mind. I'm really looking forward to this - and unlike so many other project, my own included, I know that it will be finished. Does the audio trailer mean that the game will have voices?
By the way, where WOULD you get that many monkeys?
