First post, first adventure, first time using AGS... o my, so many firsts  ;D. I have to admit that I'm a bit nervous, especially after looking at all those other projects - man, what a bunch of creative people  :o. But hey, you have to start somewhere, and so I proudly present:

Halliday's Adventures - Uncle Nigel's Secret Weapon

Background Story

(Warning: Strange use of tenses and prepositions ahead - English is not my first language.)

Professor Nigel Holloway's greatest invention was a secret superweapon to fight crime.
Unfortunately, it turned out to be his last invention, too: MCS, a criminal mastermind desperate to prevent the development, had broken into the professor's lab and destroyed the formula. Now, he was after the professor himself.
Luckily, Holloway had already built a specimen of the weapon and fled to Bad Waldesruh, a small Bavarian health resort, to hide it in the surrounding forest. Well aware of the fact that MCS was in hot pursuit, he wrote to his nephew, Halliday, to ask him to retrieve the weapon and send it to a scientist friend.
Shortly thereafter, Professor Holloway's body was found in the Waldblick hotel.

The game starts when our hero, Halliday Holloway, has just arrived in Bad Waldesruh not just to retrieve his uncle's belongings, but also to find the secret weapon. The only lead to the hiding-place is a key ring belonging to room 106 at the Waldblick hotel - the very room where Uncle Nigel had been murdered.

In order to fulfill his uncle's last wish, Halliday has to deal with dutiful policemen, bitchy secretaries, charming "ladies" and heinous hoodlums. But - will he be able to save the secret weapon from the abominable MCS?
