Foe M$ Pain, only newer versions can save as formats other than BMP (and the result was crap), for example, I can only save as BMP with M$ Pain at home (I'm using Win95). Just grab whatever good graphics conversion programmes (Irfanview, Nconvert, GIMP ;D , etc) from the net and use them for conversions.

I use this all the time-

It's very powerful and easy to use, and can convert a lot of formats. Check it out.

Bluke4x4

 Okay.

agsking: I think you must be exaggerating a LOT when you say easy to use. I tried and didn't understand a word of it.

GilbotV7000a: Where can I find such programs?

Feeling I have now: ::) Incredibly Aggrevated.

Bluke4x4

OK. Which one is easiest to use?

I found this, its called Giffy:

http://www.softandco.com/a/309/GiFFY.html

This is specifically made for converting a BMP to a GIF or converting a GIF to a BMP. I think that is definitely
what you need and the easiest.

There's also this:

Thats if you want to do more things and convert more formats.

Okay.

With all .bmp's, .gif's, .jpg's, and .jpeg's put aside,
The game's progress so far:
Backrounds: 1%
Character Development: 1%
Script: 6%
AGS Script: 0%
MIDI's:20%

About the MIDIs: Even though I have 20 MIDIs from Trapezoid's 30 MIDIs Winzip file, I STILL need some more MIDIs.

EDIT: Please.

Matt Brown

dude, if you are that desperate, just download some.

Bluke4x4

This is good, if you have a certain song in mind:

Bluke4x4

Bob, how can I download one of these MIDI's?

Matt Brown

1. head on over to www.ask.com

2. type "where can I search for MIDIs?"

3. goto first link

4. type in song you want

5. once you see the song you want, right-click, then hit save target as

Bluke4x4

But they're all Quicktime! You can't download Quicktime MIDIs!
Can you?

Matt Brown

when you save target as, using right click, you can download just about anything

Bob The Hun

Some MIDI sites have it rigged up to make it confusing to download them.
But, there is a simple way!
The first and easiest way is to right-click on the link to the song and select 'Save Target As'. I've found some sites that have it rigged up so you can't even do that. But, when the song plays, it automatically downloads into your Temporary Internet Files folder.
So, the first way would be just right clicking and saving, and the second option would be to find it in your temporary internet folder and get it out of there.

Thanks.

EDIT: Wait a second.... that doesn't work either!

Jimi

MAN!  ;)

Go to a site that has a link to a midi, or a sound effects. RIGHT CLICK on the one you want to download, and choose SAVE TARGET AS". make sure its downloading to your desktop so its easy to find, then, when its done, double click on your desktop to listen to it.

Bluke4x4

Aren't all MIDIs Quicktime? I can't download Quicktime.
